The entry fee for e-hailing vehicles at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) has been revised to RM2 effective Wednesday (Sept 16).

The fee, inclusive of tax, is standardised across Terminal 1 and 2.

00:01The entry fee for e-hailing vehicles at Terminal 1 and 2 of Kuala Lumpur International Airport

00:10Malaysia Airport's Holdings Berhad said the revised fee represents a reduction
00:14from the previous charges of RM3 at Terminal 1 and RM2.16 at Terminal 2,
00:19and this gives passengers a single and consistent rate for e-hailing pickups.
00:24They said the standardization will provide consistency and clarity
00:27for passengers and e-hailing operators,
00:30while supporting a more streamlined pickup experience across both terminals.
00:34They said with the enhanced e-hailing facilities at Terminal 1 in August,
00:38the airport had recorded encouraging improvements in operational performance.
00:42They said about 99% of e-hailing drivers now complete passenger pickups
00:47and exit within the allocated 10-minute grace period, up from 49% previously.
00:53They said the daily vehicle volume entering the pickup lanes
00:56had decreased by 13.5%, from 8,124 to 7,024 vehicles.
01:02They said pickup bays are clearing more quickly,
01:05while passengers no longer need to wait along a crowded curbside.
