00:00The Met did not specify in its statement which posts formed part of the misconduct hearing.
00:06The hearing was told that Mr Effetor published podcast episodes and social media content between 2024 and 2026 while identifying
00:15himself as a serving police officer.
00:17The material included offensive, insulting and derogatory language about police staff according to the force.
00:24Also according to Scotland Yard, Mr Effetor also published material that could have led to the identification of an officer
00:34who was subject to an anonymity direction.
00:38He had initially declared his podcast as a business interest, but permission was later withdrawn.
00:44Despite repeated warnings, he continued to publish podcast episodes and social media content.
00:50The panel found that his actions amounted to a breach of the standards of professional behaviour in respect of discreditable
00:58conduct, orders and instructions, authority, respect and courtesy and confidentiality, and he was dismissed without notice.
01:07Mr Effetor was also banned from policing.
01:10Commander Adam Slonecki said that Mr Effetor had breached social media standards on many occasions and despite repeated warnings.
01:21He added not only does behaviour like this undermine public confidence in the Met, but it had a harmful and
01:26lasting impact on those he openly criticised.
01:29Mr Effetor
