00:06Kremlin's spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that the imposition of additional sanctions
00:11by Washington will complicate efforts to find a peaceful solution to the conflict with Ukraine.
00:15The U.S. Congress approved the bill with 262 votes in favor and 159 against.
00:20The primary goal of the legislation is to exert greater pressure on Russia's energy
00:24and defense industries and expand restrictions to Iran.
00:27In addition, the legislation would authorize Trump to impose tariffs of up to 100% on
00:32China, India and five other major importers of Russian and Iranian oil and gas.
00:37The bill, named after Senator Lindsey Graham, now awaits signing by President Donald Trump.
