00:37So, I started to see these guys walking around everywhere,
00:40and I looked at where they were going,
00:43and I was like, okay, they have an apartment building here,
00:45and a grocery store here,
00:46an apartment building there,
00:47and an English class here.
00:48They're walking like five to ten miles just to get around.
00:52So I went to a local bicycle nonprofit I've worked with in the past.
00:55I was like, hey, can we get eight to ten bikes?
00:56We got eight to ten bikes.
00:58Put them in the back of the pickup truck.
00:59I called like eight guys I knew through English class.
01:03I was like, hey, do you guys want bicycles?
01:05They're like, yeah, sure.
01:07Pulled up to the apartment building.
01:08It was immediately flooded with folks coming out of the apartment building,
01:11like excited that I had a pickup truck full of bikes.
01:20Immigrants from everywhere, you know,
01:21we start seeing people from France Park coming here for bikes.
01:24Some Mediterranean that we didn't know that they're here.
01:27Surprisingly, you just walk in the bike shop,
01:29you meet somebody who never expected to be here in America.
01:34Yeah, I heard some of my friends telling me there is people who can help people to get bikes.
01:42Yeah.
01:44When I come here to shop Adamaba and then I saw someone there,
01:49they told me there is a bike opening.
02:03So the name of the shop comes out of that.
02:06They call it bikes and stuff.
02:07Because on any given Friday, you know, we're working on three to four bikes,
02:11maybe more, maybe less.
02:12And we're also working on like a job application.
02:14We're working on like, how do you fill out an I-9?
02:17How do you have your address changed with USCIS?

02:33I know a lot of, a lot of Mauritanians who've been deported.
02:37I know some of them just went to ICE, check in, and they got arrested and taken back home.
02:42And yes, I know a lot of cases with ICE.
02:50Everybody's kind of alert, but doesn't prevent people from going to work and do the normal things daily.
