00:00It's going to be a good one here with the Buffalo Bills at home.
00:04You've got Bills Mafia going to be out in a big, big way celebrating a new stadium.
00:10All sorts of fun that's going to be happening.
00:13I don't think they're allowed to jump on picnic tables or anything along those lines anymore, Craig.
00:20I think they kind of outlawed that now.
00:22They want to class this place up, this new high mark here that they're doing.
00:26Good luck with that.
00:28Let me know how that works out by the time we get to week six.
00:31But any which way you cut it, two teams that scored a boatload of points last week.
00:37And not a great spot, though, because of the short week and the fact that Detroit had to play an
00:43overtime game and now is back on the road.
00:46It's a tough spot for them.
00:48And you looked it up yesterday, Stu, and I was telling everyone today.
00:52I think we said, what, week seven last week was last year is when we finally saw a total this
01:00high at least go over.
01:03Most everything else to that point was was under.
01:06And it makes I mean, it's a big number.
01:08I mean, it was 55 at one point here today.
01:12Yeah, look, look, you don't know.
01:14It's, you know, game to game, things change.
01:16And we opened up last Wednesday and Thursday and thought we'd be in for a really slow weekend.
01:20And that was not the case.
01:21There were a lot of points there.
01:23And I feel the same thing about this weekend.
01:26And maybe we'll be wrong again.
01:27I illustrated throughout the week that I still think the Bears are going to score a lot.
01:31But beyond that, I think that there's some spots to take some unders again.
01:35I would go back to that.
01:36These things do certainly normalize.
01:38But as we talked about on the show yesterday, I really like the Lions last year.
01:45I thought the Lions were going to have a really good year.
01:47I still think Dan Campbell's a good coach.
01:49They have the best running back in the NFL.
01:51They have a very good offensive line at home.
01:54They're generally unbeatable.
01:55They have really good wide receivers and Williams and Amon Ross St.
01:58Brown, good tight end.
02:00It's a good offense.
02:01It's a good team.
02:02But for whatever reason, this idea that the Lions are the Lions of two years ago is just a fallacy.
02:09It's almost similar to the Chiefs of a year ago.
02:12I don't know why they're getting the respect that they have.
02:14I don't know why they laid such a big number against the Saints last week when they almost lost that
02:19game.
02:19And if you just look at their results from last year, it would sort of tell you that the Lions
02:25are a 500 team, maybe a little bit better, maybe a little bit worse.
02:31Goff generally does not play well outdoors.
02:34It's a very short week.
02:35They had to come back to get to overtime.
02:37There's going to be a lot of emotion for Buffalo.
02:39I definitely do think, you know, sometimes it's not a factor, but I do think that is a factor this
02:43week.
02:44And I don't think that this is going to be a close game.
02:46I don't, I think the Bills are going to really have their way with Detroit.
02:51And the only threat to the over to me would be as if Buffalo's offense just went absolutely bananas on
02:57Detroit, which can happen at any particular time.
03:00It can happen.
03:01We've seen it happen before.
03:02But I do think it's sustained runs from Cook and long drives and a lot of, you know, rushing the
03:09ball, which you generally do see on Thursday night.
03:12I think Jameer Gibbs probably has a nice night, too, for the Lions.
03:15But I'll take Buffalo tonight and just sort of expect them to win, you know, 26 to 14, somewhere along
03:24those lines, you know, 17 maybe.
03:25I do think Detroit's going to score a couple touchdowns today, but I am with you.
03:29It feels like if this game went over the 54, it would honestly be one of the best Thursday night
03:35football games in a long time, if that ends up happening.
03:39And then maybe that's what's sort of being predicted there.
03:41But also the telling number to me, too, in this game, Joe, is that all things being equal, if you
03:47think about Detroit and you think about Buffalo, in Detroit, minus three, in Buffalo, minus three.
03:54That's kind of the way that I see these two teams.
03:56But it's four and a half.
03:58The line's four and a half.
03:59So that's what it tells me that Buffalo is a much better team than Detroit is.
04:05And if Detroit is so good, why are they four and a half point dogs going into this game?
04:09So that's sort of my thinking on it.
04:12And look, I'm always hopeful for a good game.
04:14We didn't get any good games Wednesday or Thursday of last week.
04:16So I'm hopeful this is a good one because now we're in sort of the position of getting the Thursday
04:22and then having to wait to Sunday.
04:23But I do like some of the college football games on Saturday.
04:25I'm sure we'll get into that as well.
04:26Some controversy, of course, with LSU and some fun games coming up this week, too.
