A Minnesota woman’s mugshot has sparked plenty of attention online after social media users said she bears a resemblance to Jennifer Lopez.
Cyrena Anne Quast, 35, was arrested in Monticello on August 30 after she allegedly stole two double packs of power-tool batteries worth about $580 from a store, according to a criminal complaint.
Her booking photo quickly became the focus of online discussion, with users comparing her appearance to the pop star. Some joked that Quast could pass for Lopez’s twin or even serve as her stunt double, while others strongly disagreed with the comparison.
Police became involved after an employee reportedly recognized Quast from an alleged similar theft just days earlier and contacted authorities.
Quast was subsequently arrested and booked into the Wright County Jail on a gross misdemeanor theft charge.
While the internet debate has centered largely on the celebrity resemblance, the underlying story involves an active criminal case, and the allegations against Quast have not been proven in court.
