00:00Residents in Olifansfontein east of Johannesburg have held a candlelight vigil for a woman whose body was found in a
00:09river earlier this month.
00:11The woman, believed to be in her late 20s, was discovered near the mall of Tembisa on September 7.
00:17Her identity has not yet been released.
00:23Why did they only tell us when they found body number 4?
00:26Why were they acquired from the first body that was found?
00:30Why number 4?
00:30Why not number 2?
00:32Why not number 3?
00:33That $3.68 million they used for the foreigners to live, why don't they take out that money now?
00:40We want it now so that it can be used for this situation.
00:43Why is it coming with the terms and conditions?
00:45We are tired, guys.
00:46We are tired as the South Africans.
00:49Residents prayed, sang hymns, and called on police to identify those responsible and bring them to justice.
00:55Her death is now part of a wide investigation into the discovery of nine women's bodies across Ekurkuleini over the
01:03past two months.
01:04The case includes incidents in Kempton Park, Clayville, Olifanfontein, Rhodesfield, Gwathema, and Dawn Park.
01:15It is so painful.
01:16It is devastating.
01:18We are afraid to send our kids even to the shop by the street because it is no longer safe.
01:24So we are here.
01:25We are crying out for the souls that are gone.
01:28And we are crying for the remaining ones.
01:35Police are investigating possible links between the deaths amid fears of a serial killer.
01:41But authorities say they have not established that a single perpetrator is responsible.
01:46A specialist team is leading the investigation while police are urging families with missing relatives to come forward and help
01:54identify the victims.
