00:41sanctuary move around we're going to try and move all the characters in the
00:47sanctuary give them a new space a new camp to go and explore as many of you will
00:54know the lines at the sanctuary are pretty old so we use moving days as an
01:02opportunity to really give each animal a thorough looking over and appraisal and
01:10just to see and check on their mobility and their strength and their willingness
01:16so one of the things is seeing if they'll jump into the loading vehicle that
01:22is a good indicator of how they're feeling okay so the sanctuary has greened up a bit
01:28we've had a bit of rain last week oh just by the way I am sporting one of the winning
01:38designs of the part of the pride competition and this t-shirts now

01:50worried how it would look in the flesh but honestly I think it looks really really

05:01uh that's affecting his flexibility uh he's quite stuff you know the real test is to see that ability
05:11of him to MacGyver his way into the vehicle and I must say I'm very chuffed because that has been
05:21one of the best loadings I've seen him do in in ages thumbs up to Ikki he's been very willing
05:28um to participate and that's that's a great thing so uh he's next up with Meg to go walking and
05:35um
05:36yeah let's just see if uh stubborn Meg gets in now because she I can see she's in one of
05:41those moods
05:42Meg why are you in one of those moods really interesting guys because Meg over the years
05:50you know has always been the most willing line to jump in and to do things and then as she's
05:57got older
05:58she's just become more and more sulky uh and when she sulks boy oh boy um nothing's gonna nothing's
06:08gonna get her in or get her to change her mind so I hope and pray that we can get
06:16her moved up
06:18um we have had to in the past leave her behind for a day so that she misses her man
06:27and then we come the next day and then she jumps in immediately because she gets over herself
06:31so I hope it's not one of those days fingers crossed
06:38all right there's old Ikki being a very good boy and we're gonna just offload him here in this camp
06:46his new home for the next couple of weeks

07:56sees the animals every day you must also know that uh lions are very very um good
08:01uh masking their disabilities it's just inherent in their genetics it's it's obviously a evolutionary
08:13um mechanism evolutionary protective mechanism to you know to to to like not let on that there's
08:23something wrong so that they mask it very well um and they do that in in in a captive environment
08:29as well
08:29um so you've got to you've got to push them a bit you've got to challenge them
08:35um and then you get to see the the real um underlying issues that may be there um
