00:43Video footage circulating on social media appears to show large plumes of black smoke billowing
00:48above the airport, which plane tracking site Flightradar24 says is experiencing major problems.
00:54Residents of the capital reported seeing several fire extinguishing teams deployed to the site
00:59to put out the blaze, while more crews were dispatched to respond to a nearby burning fuel

01:05The Saudi civil defense had sent an overnight alert to residents in several parts of the
01:09country, warning of potential danger and advising people to remain indoors and away from windows,
01:15which were lifted in the hours that followed.
01:18The incident comes amid an uptick in attacks from Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi rebels, which declared
01:23a naval blockade on Saudi Arabia in the Red Sea in July.

02:08to acquire the Arctic nation, either through a purchase agreement with Denmark, or via military

02:14Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen hailed the deal as a great agreement for all parties
02:19involved, which still recognizes Danish sovereignty and the Greenlandic people's right to self-determination.
02:26Greenland's Prime Minister Jens Frederik Nielsen also welcomed the agreement, saying it greatly
02:31boosts regional security, and called it, quote, a benefit to all.

03:31mandatory hijab, even as authorities continue to implement the law.
03:41Oktoberfest is underway in Munich, with thousands gathering at the Taraisenweise for the opening
03:45of one of the world's largest folk festivals that will continue for 16 days.
03:50The traditional procession of festival landlords began at around 10.35 with about 1,000 hosts,
03:57musicians, showmen and waiting staff traveling through the city in decorated carriages and
04:02horse-drawn wagons.
04:06Festival tents had opened earlier, but beer could only be served after the official tapping
04:11of the first keg.
04:14At noon, Munich's new mayor Dominik Krause performed the ceremony for the first time in office in
04:19the Schottenhamel tent.
04:22After the mayor's traditional shouting, the beer is tapped and 12 cannon shots, beer service
04:27and fairground rides officially began.
04:31This year, a one litre mass of beer cost between 14 and 16 euros, while a large pretzel cost around
04:385 to 6 euros, around 6.5 million people attended the previous Oktoberfest.
