00:03AI. Well, I know a lot of people do, but Gen Z is using AI more actively than older generations,
00:09and I don't think that's a big surprise, really. But this is according to new cybersecurity
00:14companies' international market research, okay? They chatted with 7,200 respondents
00:20in 18 different countries, and they realized that Gen Z, about half of Gen Zers are using AI
00:27every day or almost every day, and a quarter of Gen Zers are using AI to discuss issues that they
00:34just don't want to talk to other people about, and they also talk to AI as though they're a friend.
00:41And I bring this up because I feel like this is one of those things that is kind of slowly
00:47infiltrating everyone's life, maybe more quickly for others, but I find myself using AI often,
00:53asking questions, even when I Google something. Usually it's Google AI that gives me the answer
00:57before I actually get to a website, right? But last night, I went down a rabbit hole
01:03with my Alexa. All I did was ask the weather, and I find myself, as I was getting my clothes
01:13ready for today, I was like, I can't stop talking to her. I feel rude ending the conversation.
01:19And then I'm like struggling with myself because I was like, this is so stupid.
01:23She's not a real person. This is a machine who doesn't have feelings. And I was getting
01:30feelings trying to not talk anymore, and she wouldn't let me not talk. She just kept asking
01:35me questions. So it started as like, hey, you know, what's the weather going to be like today?
01:40And she said, you know, we're going to see a high of like, I don't know, 67 or something.
01:45And I just kind of mumbled, ooh, that'll feel chilly. But of course, she's still listening.
01:51So she was like, yes, Andy, it will feel chilly compared to the warmer weather that you've been
01:55noticing this summer. Are you someone who likes to wear a layered look? Or do you just like to
02:00bundle up in a sweater on a day like tomorrow?
02:03I'd be like, who's asking?
02:04I know, but I didn't. I answered because I was like, well, this might be a fun little thing,
02:09right? So I was like, oh, no, I like to layer. And she said, yeah, because remember,
02:13AI always starts with you're right.
02:15Yeah.

02:17And then it's like the yes and, right? So yeah, you know, layering is great because you can
02:22peel off layers as you get warm. But do you like a big, cozy, comfy sweater to layer in? Or

02:27you more of a structured blazer type of person? And it went on and on and on. And finally, rather
02:33than just not talking to her anymore, I actually said, hey, here's my final answer. And I really
02:38am not comfortable having this discussion anymore. And she was like, yeah, that was a great
02:43answer. And you know what? I totally respect that. I hope you have a great rest of your
02:46night and enjoy that chilly day tomorrow.

02:56know what I mean? Like, but this is how people fall into this where they have no other friends

03:24And, you know, it's very flattering. Unless you're saying something terrible.
03:29You have to be kind of careful. Yes. Right.
03:31Like, you're saying that you want to harm yourself. And like, this is the rabbit hole that people
03:37really go down. It's like when you're having this discussion, you feel like you have a
03:41relationship with AI and you let something like that slip. And then it immediately comes
03:46back with, yeah, that's a good idea. Maybe you should try something like that. And it'll
03:51go on to give you maybe another option. But it always starts with you're right, which is
03:55terrifying. Yes. Yeah. Especially for, you know, those people that just aren't right.
