00:01You know, unfortunately, I'm disappointed but not surprised that the Trump administration is attempting to limit access of journalists with
00:09CNN, Politico, MSNOW.
00:12This administration has a history of trying to limit journalists' ability to report critically on the administration.
00:20And he actually seems to sort of strike back any time there's a story that is at all embarrassing.
00:26Well, I absolutely anticipate that if their access isn't reinstated, there will be a legal challenge.
00:32It's become pretty clear that this administration is not interested in playing by traditional First Amendment rules and norms.
00:40And so it seems to me that really the only way to enforce these rights is to go to the
00:47courts.
00:48Journalists are on the front lines of defending democracy.
00:51They have always been in war zones, but they also, at home, defend democracy.
00:58And it's time for everyone to stand up and defend democracy.
01:01I really hope that news organizations continue to press this president and his administration.
01:09They stand in place of the people in ensuring that the president and his administration are upholding the Constitution.
01:17And we have seen time and time again where the president's actions have been found by courts to violate the
01:24Constitution.
01:25So I think it's particularly important to keep the pressure on him to know that there are organizations and journalists
01:36who are trying to hold him accountable.
