00:12Sunday was another sweltering day across Trinidad and Tobago
00:16with maximum high temperatures exceeding 33 degrees Celsius
00:20across most areas of Trinidad and 32 degrees Celsius across most areas of Tobago.
00:26Fees like temperatures exceeded 42 degrees across most areas of the country
00:31due to light winds, high humidity, and abundant sunshine.
00:37Hot conditions are forecast through Tuesday for TNT
00:40as a dry and stable atmosphere remains across the region.
00:45Now, what would conditions look like tonight?
00:47Well, mostly fair with brief isolated showers
00:50with minimum temperatures at 26 degrees in both islands.
00:54And tomorrow, oh boy, it will be hot.
00:58It will be sunny, but there is a chance for brief showers.
01:01Now, with daytime temperatures reaching up to 34 degrees in Trinidad and 32 in Tobago,
01:07you have to make sure you're protecting yourself from the direct sunlight.
01:11So if you can, try to avoid being outdoors during the hottest times of the day
01:16between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
01:18But if you can't, sunscreen, water, big hats, and even an umbrella
01:24would be good company to have with you.
01:27But here comes the good news.
01:29The next couple of days will give us that much-needed cool down.
01:33According to the Met Office, Wednesday and Thursday will be initially generally fair,
01:38becoming cloudy as the day progresses,
01:40with showers that can become heavy during the late morning to late afternoon.
01:45Now, let's look at our sun times.
01:47In Trinidad, sunrise is at 5.55 and 5.51 in Tobago
01:51and sunset at 6.02 in Trinidad and 5.59 in Tobago.
01:55And if on Tuesday you'll be 10 toes down in the sand at the beach,
01:59then seas will be slight with waves 1 m in open waters
02:03and less than 1 m in sheltered areas.

02:20Typhoon Dujan battered parts of Japan,
02:23prompting evacuation orders from nearly 2 million people.
02:27At least two people died and four were reported missing,
02:31while strong winds caused power outages affecting more than 50,000 people.
02:37Hundreds of flights were cancelled and rail services suspended,
02:41with the typhoon bringing sustained winds of 130 kilometers per hour
02:46and gusts up to 194 kilometers per hour.
02:50The typhoon is the latest in a series of storms in the Pacific,
02:55made more intense by the Super El Nino,
02:58which has warmed the ocean, fueling the formation of storms.
