00:01Police were called to a unit in Norwest just before 5pm yesterday where they found an 11 year old boy
00:08with gunshot wounds to the neck and face.
00:12Now he remains in hospital in a critical condition.
00:16Police say a number of people were in the apartment at the time.
00:19Some of them left this scene before police arrived and they have said that a number of them that they
00:25have spoken to aren't cooperating with police.
00:28There are a number of people in the unit at the time of this incident.
00:32We have spoken to some of those people and we are currently trying to locate some others to speak to
00:38them about the incident and about any involvement they may have.
00:42Some of the people who were present at the time of the shooting are not currently cooperating with investigators.
00:4818 year old Isaac James Beshara is one of those people police spoke to.
00:54He's since been charged with concealing a serious indictable offence and he appeared in Blacktown local court today where he
01:01was formally refused bail.
01:04Police say while there is no known links between this shooting and the ongoing gangland war in Sydney which has
01:12rattled many across the city.
01:14They are looking at possible associations of some of these people with organised crime more broadly.
01:21They say that a number of people within the apartment were well known to police and they say they are
01:28yet to find the weapon involved in this shooting.
