00:04Hello, I'm Rémy, I'm the Associate Game Director for Sports Interactive.
00:08And I'm Ant, Senior Features Manager at Sports Interactive.
00:11Today, we're diving into the user experience and interface.
00:15Elevating your experience and the flow of FM has been the core focus,
00:19as we've evolved the current design and navigational features.
00:22From adaptive layouts and customizable screens,
00:25to removing unnecessary clicks and reshaping menus,
00:28the changes allow you to focus on what's important,
00:31more time spent shaping your story, exploring the wider game world,
00:35and less time spent navigating the menus.
00:38In practical terms, that means all of your navigation now takes place in the menus at the top of the
00:42screen,
00:43your primary menu and your secondary menu.
00:45You've got your main sections at the top as well as anything else you're curious about,
00:49like clubs, leagues and the wider footballing world.
00:52This has allowed us to change screen compositions to prioritise the quality and relevance of information.
00:57So, while the tiles may look similar, they're no longer essential for navigation.
01:02We've also converted more of the windows or pop-ups into full screens,
01:06meaning you'll better understand where you are in the game
01:08and won't always need to close a window down to move forward.
01:11Instead, your next navigational step is always available and immediately obvious.
01:15We've also updated the names of the main sections of the game
01:19to better reflect your core responsibilities as a football manager.
01:22Your squad, tactics, recruitment, training and club.
01:27In the squad screen, you'll see your full squad straight away.
01:31Tactics takes you straight to your tactics and training takes you straight to your training and so on.
01:37We've reduced the number of extra steps you need to take when you land on one of the main sections.
01:42You'll see there's now a control panel at the top,
01:45essentially a section that gathers the key choices you can make in that area.
01:49Think holding a team meeting, adjusting budgets, reviewing advice from your staff or delegating responsibilities.
01:56By presenting it in this way, you've now got greater efficiency in navigation and decision making.
02:01And then the same is true for messages as well.
02:04Now the news is directly presented to you in the message itself.
02:08Messages are also color-coded, giving you a clear visual cue
02:12and making it easier to navigate quickly to the things that matter most to you as a manager.
02:18For example, when you receive a message about the scout report,
02:22this now includes the scout report itself.
02:25It's no longer a tile you need to click into.
02:28So now when you're receiving multiple messages about transfer offers and multiple clubs
02:34being interested about your players, you can directly act on all of this from the message itself,
02:41giving you a clear glimpse of what you need to do and the types of offers you want to accept
02:47and the ones you may not.
02:49Improving navigation goes hand in hand with evolving the way the interface is laid out
02:54and how you can customize it.
02:55For FM27, we've reworked the logic of the UI to recognize your preferences
03:01and adapt to whatever screen size and resolution settings you have.
03:04Whether you're playing on a laptop or a 4K monitor, you'll get a much more optimal experience.
03:09So how does this translate into tangible gameplay?
03:12Well, from the composition of the screens we've shown you,
03:15we made sure to put what we call scalable elements into focus, tables, lists, etc.
03:22This has a double advantage.
03:25First, to make sure you get all the information you need,
03:28but also to scale dynamically depending on the resolution.
03:32Tables, specifically, are the heart of FM.
03:36Vertically, we want to show you as many items as available, without scrolling.
03:41And horizontally, we want to populate the screen with as many pieces of data that are relevant for you.
03:48As always, you can combine this with custom views, so you can be creative with the type and volume of
03:54information you want to see.
03:55We've also added different scaling modes directly in the preferences menu,
04:01so you can now switch between the default level of information and two other settings.
04:05This gives you more flexibility to customize your experience,
04:09and there will be more in terms of custom preferences in another deep dive.
04:14Customization also applies to four other key aspects.
04:17We've added the ability for you to swap some of the tiles you see on the screen.
04:21You'll see here in the portal, as well as various other game screens,
04:24dropdowns you can click on to replace a tile with another of the same size,
04:28allowing you to tailor the information you see based on your gameplay preferences.
04:33This will apply in the Match UI too, and you'll see more of that in our Match Engine deep dive.
04:38Additionally, the bookmark bar now has text descriptors and the ability to drag and rearrange your bookmarks into any order.
04:44So this makes the system a lot more reliable and easier for you to tailor it according to different phases
04:49of the season.
04:50On the shortcut side, if you navigate to the preferences menu,
04:53you'll now see that you've got the ability to edit the shortcuts to whatever you want them to be.
04:58The preferences menu also contains a setting that allows you to change where you land
05:02when you click on each of the options in the primary navigation bar.
05:05So if there's something specific you want to see first within Squad or Recruitment,
05:09rather than defaulting to the overview, you can change it.
05:13FM27 evolves the design language we introduce in FM26, combined with ideas and behaviors that recapture the core navigation
05:21and user experience flow from previous titles.
05:24Our goal with these changes is simple, for them to feel efficient, intuitive, so you can focus on discovery
05:30and exploring the wider footballing world.
05:33Less clicks, more gameplay, more relevant information in each screen and more ways to shape how you engage with the
05:41game
05:41means more control and depth to your experience.
05:45There's even more detail in our deep dive feature blog and we'll be answering your questions about our approach in
05:50dedicated AMAs on Reddit.
05:52In our next deep dive, we'll showcase the new, improved and returning elements that make FM27 a deeper and more
05:59immersive football world.
06:00that make FMAD looks have
06:02to have a quite a few episodes.
06:04So, as you go at the 보이 Ubuntu, you will get a bit of your bio from the買双方 from the
06:04wasting time.
