00:00Mr President, I mentioned the fact that it was a very big issue at the Maker Field by-election
00:05and a lot of the British media will know that, and I spoke about it then.
00:10Our commitment is to get to a controlled approach.
00:14That's what people want to see.
00:16They're not against migration overall.
00:19They know that people work in the NHS and in the care system.
00:22It's a difference though when it's managed or when it's uncontrolled
00:26and the small boats is a very big issue for people.
00:28But crossings this summer were down 50% there or thereabouts on the number six years ago.
00:35So sometimes people don't hear that the progress is being made, but the progress is being made.
00:40And we know we've got further to go.
00:43Home Secretary and the Foreign Secretary are working with me on it, and we'll keep working on it.
00:48But that's a story that's not always out there, but we will continue to make sure we deal with it.
