00:07the U.S. Supreme Court this morning. The latest round comes after a federal appeals court ordered
00:12Missouri to use new districts backed by President Trump, a map the Supreme Court has already blocked
00:18twice from taking effect for November. The new map reshapes a Kansas City area district held
00:24by Democrat Emanuel Cleaver and was drawn to help Republicans pick up an additional U.S. House seat.
00:30But the timing is getting a little messy. Absentee voting is already underway using Missouri's old
00:362022 districts, and more than a million potential voters could be moved between districts depending
00:42on which map wins out. The appeals court put its own ruling on hold until Monday, giving the Supreme
00:48Court time to step in again. The justices have asked supporters of the new map to respond by midday
00:54today.
