00:20We're seeing amazing species flowering like showy daisy, poached egg daisies are looking amazing. We kind of get fields of
00:29poached egg daisies at the moment, which look really, really cool.
00:32Thanks to a year of record rainfall events and a hit of warmer spring weather, flora has taken over.
00:38For somewhere that doesn't get a lot of rain, this is really, really exciting, because we're seeing plants we haven't
00:44seen before.
00:44That's kind of given everything a little bit of a boost, so we're seeing some absolutely amazing flowers out at
00:50the moment.
00:50Even the weeds on the roadsides are in full bloom.
00:54They are invasive and that means they are displacing native species in a lot of cases, so that's kind of
00:59disappointing, but they do look really good in spring.
01:02The Australasian Fire Authorities Council is expecting a drier than average spring in SA, which means the extra growth around
01:09the state is likely to increase the fire risk in many places this summer.
01:14But for now, locals say it's a time to take in the sights.
01:18Just to be walking through those fields of flowers is just magical.
01:22For a lot of people, it's a once in a lifetime experience of seeing our bushland so vibrant, so full
01:29and so incredibly exciting.
