A fire broke out aboard the Blue Carrier 2 in the Aegean Sea north of Mykonos on September 25. Authorities safely evacuated all 29 people aboard — 28 crew members and one passenger. No injuries were reported.
The ferry was carrying 166 trucks and 29 passenger vehicles in its garages. Firefighting efforts continued after the blaze was contained but remained below deck.
