00:00The coastal flood threat is intensifying in New Jersey this weekend as a powerful nor'easter stalls barely offshore.
00:06Here are five cities that will face intense impacts through the weekend.
00:10We're going to take you to Atlantic City first.
00:12Here we're looking at a combination of strong winds, a nasty storm surge of 1 to 3 feet,
00:17several high tide cycles are going to bring water all the way across much of the barrier islands here
00:23from Ocean City to Margate, Ventnor and beyond.
00:25Two to four inches of rain in Atlantic City at 50 to 60 mile per hour gusts.
00:28Heading up into New York City, we've got our hands full with so many problems from Battery Park flooding,
00:34even worse flooding up near LaGuardia as water is going to be shoved all the way down the length of
00:39the Long Island Sound
00:40and it collects on the western end.
00:42That's a very busy place.
00:44There may even be some impacts to air travel because of flooding potentially in conjunction with the wind and the
00:50rain.
00:51Montauk, this is going to be fierce wind, 60 to 80 mile per hour gust out near the Twin Forks
00:56on the east end of Long Island with three to five inches of rain.
00:59Cape Cod will face some tenacious wind as well as coastal storm surge of two to four feet
01:03for several high tide cycles.
01:05And in Boston, we're looking at 50 to 60 mile per hour gusts,
01:09a one to three foot storm surge and two to four inches of rain.
