00:00We have been seeing what Jeff actually called an escalation throughout the day.
00:04He came to us this morning.
00:05We were in about 25, 30 mile an hour sustained winds.
00:08We're probably pushing closer to 35 to 40 now.
00:12And we're getting those gusts that are peaking in that range.
00:15And we're finally starting to get the onset of precipitation.
00:18Even though this morning we were dealing with the winds, we had peaks of sun in the clouds.
00:23The clouds have been thickening up through the day.
00:25Really, the northern edge of that rain band is just offshore.
00:29And we're kind of getting more of the, what I like to call the pellet raindrops right now.
00:33So we're starting to get on the onset of the precipitation.
00:36Low tide right now.
00:38So we're not dealing with the wave heights that we saw this morning at about 10 o'clock.
00:41We're going to see the high tide set in again this evening.
00:44Probably about 11 o'clock.
00:46And then again tomorrow morning as we get toward the lunchtime hour between 10 and about 1130.
00:52Depending on where you are on the coast.
00:54So that is where we're going to expect probably tomorrow's biggest issues will be in the morning when we get
00:58the high tide in.
00:59And especially again tonight as the rain is really going to start to set in.
01:02We're expecting that to be a huge issue for us as well as we get into the night.
01:07Especially tomorrow into Sunday when we really get the brunt of the system here.
01:11We've got all that flow coming in onshore.
01:14It's going to push all that tide you were talking about.
01:16All those waves that are offshore.
01:18All that water, that high water level is going to work its way in.
01:21So coastal flooding certainly a concern.
01:23You heard Bill in the earlier live hit talking, letting people know, hey, again, this isn't just floodwaters.
01:28This is not the water you want to drive through.
01:29This is saltwater.
01:31This will have a bad, very bad damaging effect on your vehicle if you leave it exposed for too long.
01:36So this is not the type of water you want to have your car exposed to.
01:40We tell you not to drive through floodwaters to begin with.
01:43But when you start throwing saltwater into the equation, then you start to get some issues with the vehicle.
01:48Officials we've seen kind of out and about on occasion kind of prepping for some of these roads that are
01:53closer to the coast to have some issues.
01:55We're expecting some road closures here along the coast, probably from Sandwich, maybe even up as far as Boston.
02:01As that storm kind of gets inches a little bit closer here, obviously that turn to the west will kind
02:06of spare this area from the brunt of it.
02:08We hope anyway, but this is certainly going to be an impactful storm.
02:12Folks right now taking in a Friday evening, although this isn't exactly the best of weather to be.
