00:04like? Yeah, I'm here in Wellfleet, Massachusetts, Cape Cod. You know, we were getting some really
00:13strong winds earlier today. A couple hours ago, I was on the other side of Cape Cod,
00:17actually the Atlantic side. Back behind me, it's kind of relatively calm back here. This is Cape
00:21Cod Bay, kind of the safer, protected portion of Cape Cod. And you can see boats are parked out
00:28here in the Cape because of its protection, but there's been a steady stream of boats being pulled
00:33out of the water here. You know, earlier when I was on the other, on the eastern side of Cape
00:38Cod,
00:39along the Atlantic, very strong wind gusts, 35, 40 miles per hour, already starting to blow that
00:44sand around and creating very large swells. You know, the folks here, not a lot of prep going on,
00:50but a lot of folks out enjoying those large swells. There was a line of cars parked like they were
00:55at
00:55a drive-in movie theater, watching those large swells out there. But yeah, the only real prep
01:00going on right now are those boats being pulled out of the water. We'll see if things change
01:04tomorrow. We're not expected to get the worst impacts of this until the weekend, but those
01:08impacts will start tomorrow afternoon. You know, we're expected to get a lot of rain here, so the
01:13flooding is going to be a problem. You know, also, we are on the Cape Cod National Seashore, and that
01:18on the east side of Cape Cod, it is very large cliffs that drop off, and it's not a very
01:23long distance down to the water. So it's expected that those waves that are come crashing in over
01:29for multiple days, as this is going to be a long duration event, are going to start causing a lot
01:33of beach erosion problems. I talked to a ranger at the National Park there who was concerned about the
01:40parking lot that we were in. He said it's going to be a minute-by-minute observation if they close
01:45the park down, those parking lots, due to the dangers of the cliffs just starting to fall into the
01:50ocean from this storm. So he also mentioned there were a couple houses had been removed this summer,
01:55and those likely would have fallen with this storm. So big storm coming, and we're hunkering down here

02:10storm into the New England states. It really wraps up. Here we are Friday afternoon, 4 p.m., rain increasing
02:16across southeastern New England, and then Friday evening and night moving more expansively across
02:22the bulk of New England, even Saturday morning. Look at this, all of northern New Jersey, eastern parts
02:26of New York State, at least from maybe Lake George southward. The eastern Poconos, it's going to be
02:32wet across most of eastern Pennsylvania, into central PA even, with this storm kind of hedging
02:37a little bit farther west.
