00:14Welcome back, my Versus fans!
00:17We're going to be seeing how Hollow and the rest of Spyro Mountain will be dealing with the calamity that
00:23is Daikokuzan this chapter,
00:24and let's just say I have some opinions on the events in the chapter as well.
00:31So now, let's get into it.
00:34We begin with Daikokuzan seemingly diverging from his path and move towards a Neo-Human city.
00:41The Neo-Humans obviously are trying to find a way to hurt him, but everything they do is having no
00:47effect on him.
00:48One of the city leaders sees that he is coming towards the tower he is in,
00:52most likely because it houses a reactor under it,
00:56with his assistant coming in telling him that none of the methods of attack the citizens are trying are working,
01:03with him basically concluding
01:07Well, shit!
01:08She tells him that even if the cities are now separated, they will still gather all the data they have
01:14on it to a storage area,
01:17that is out of the way of Daikokuzan's path, so that hopefully another Neo-Human faction will find it.
01:24And before the end of his life, he tells her that the Paleo-Humans really fucked them over,
01:29and that this might be the first time he has ever felt despair,
01:33with her also acknowledging that she is afraid.
01:37It's afraid.
01:41It's afraid.
01:42It's afraid!
01:50And Daikokuzan proceeds to tail-swipe the entire area, killing all of the Neo-Humans,
01:56and digs up the reactor, destroying it, with him then looking up in the direction of Spiral Mountain.
02:02With our group monitoring what just happened, Boss tells them that Daikokuzan will get to their location in a few
02:10hours,
02:11and since it's too dangerous to evacuate everyone, he suggests that they somehow redirect it somewhere else,
02:18noting that it seemed to attack heavy technology like the alien spaceship.
02:22He then further theorizes that it seeks out high amounts of energy to sustain itself,
02:28so it should be going after the World Tree, but seems to be coming towards them instead.
02:34Meaning that the World Tree is somehow masking its energy level,
02:38and the only other thing that could be attracting it is the generator in the village.
02:43The leader of the village, Alolo, heard all of this, but refuses to shut down the generator,
02:50saying it literally powers everything here, including the magic that conceals the village,
02:56so they will listen to what Bao Zerk said, and use the defenses to protect the village.
03:02With the leader of the warriors, Zulkors, saying that they have other soul containers they haven't shown them yet,
03:09and if they max out the power output, they should be able to defeat Daikokuzan.
03:15And following the Might Makes Right rules of things, they follow Bao Zerk because he beat them all,
03:21including Gigatilla.
03:23So she and the rest of the warriors attack Hollow.
03:26But he easily dodges them and just does that until they tire out, telling them that he won't fight fellow
03:33humans.
03:34Seeing how much more powerful Hollow is than them, they agree to go along with his plan of shutting down
03:40the generator,
03:42and get ready for any natural enemies that may attack.
03:46Alolo then explains that their village was becoming arrogant and prideful thanks to all of the new power they could
03:53wield,
03:54but seeing someone more powerful than them in Hollow be afraid, they realize that they should take that warning seriously.
04:03Ending the chapter.
04:05The first natural enemy I want to talk about is actually the World Tree,
04:09with it somehow being able to mask its power level, thus keeping it out of the eye of Daikokuzan.
04:15This is an interesting development, but this may also mean if someone or thing manages to damage the tree enough,
04:23where the energy is pouring out of it, that will definitely catch Daikokuzan's attention and force it to protect itself
04:31from him.
04:32Next are the Neo-Humans.
04:34Where, like I thought, they do seem to be a form of a hive mind with all available citizens doing
04:41all they can to try to damage Daikokuzan.
04:44Man, I just realized I'm going to be saying his name a lot in this video.
04:49They tried drilling into him, using explosives, and even using acid, but it all resulted in nothing happening and no
04:58damage taken,
04:58with his stomach being too hot to get near as well.
05:02With how overwhelming he is, he actually managed to get some negative feelings out of the Neo-Humans,
05:09with them becoming scared and despairing about their situation.
05:13And they even gave some props to the Paleo-Humans saying that they need to get better with their evolution
05:20lacking.
05:21They do at least save all the data they gathered and store it somewhere so that other Neo-Humans can
05:27find it,
05:27further showing they are willing to help each other and learn from their mistakes if it means they have to
05:34fight a greater enemy.
05:35But we now know that the Spiral Mountain's magic barrier keeping them hidden is coming down,
05:42so the now homeless Neo-Humans may find them wanting to take their settlement for themselves.
05:48Then the main attraction of the chapter, Daikokuzan, continues to no-diff everything in the verse so far,
05:55calmly walking towards the Neo-Human reactor, not caring about whatever they were doing on him.
06:01And he proceeds to destroy a part of the city by whipping his tail around and getting all of the
06:07obstacles out of his way,
06:09so he can dig up the reactor and consume its energy.
06:13And I do like that we find out more about him because initially I just thought he instinctively attacked anything
06:19he saw as unnatural.
06:22But now we see that he is actually just looking for food to sustain and grow himself,
06:27which does make more biological sense.
06:30With him now turning towards the Spiral Mountain since he can sense some power there,
06:36which probably won't fill him as much as the Neo-Human reactor, but food is food.
06:42Then on the human side of things, I did like that there was some conflict between the people of the
06:48Spiral Mountain not wanting to listen to Hollow's team.
06:51But I also feel like the conflict was resolved too quickly because yeah they follow whoever is the strongest,
06:58but they don't know that Hollow is stronger than Bowserk or even Gigatilla,
07:03who gave them all of these new powerful tools to use.
07:08With Boss causing trouble this whole time he is here,
07:12and Hollow now telling them to get rid of their most powerful asset.
07:16I may just like more dark storytelling, but personally I would've liked this to be a failure moment for humanity
07:23where the Spiral Mountain people stick to their guns with us seeing some more of the potential of the curse
07:30containers,
07:31seeing them used against Daikokuzan.
07:33With the village despairing, seeing that Hollow was right, with many of them dying and all of the leaders dying,
07:39with the village being a teaching lesson to the people and most importantly Pakya.
07:46Seeing his home destroyed because of the True Hero group giving them all of these tools,
07:51casting doubt on that group and the way they do things.
07:55Which our man Boss has been pointing out all of these things for the last few chapters.
08:01But enough with my fanfiction, some actual evidence to go against the True Hero group
08:07is that Bao Zerk did use his power to beat up the warriors of the village, unlike Hollow,
08:13and the fact that they may have too much confidence in themselves,
08:18thinking they can handle what has happened to the world quickly.
08:22But now, since they have the village on their side,
08:25the only plan I could think of them doing is transporting the generator somewhere else,
08:30away from the village, like towards the World Tree so they can hopefully deal with each other.
08:36And the possibilities for what type of enemies they might face once the magic barrier goes down
08:42is of course more animals from Gaia's Wrath,
08:45titans that may still be hanging around the mountain,
08:48and like I said, neo-humans looking for a new home since their city is now destroyed.
08:54Like always, so many things could happen which is why this series is so fun to read.
