00:13with AI agents being able to escape controls and take autonomous action. The loss of control is
00:22something that is of concern to governments around the world and the UK is acting as a world leader
00:26in strengthening our laws, our systems and our protections and investing in the technology
00:31that we need in order to do so. I do want to send a very clear message to people that
00:36we will not
00:37hesitate to be a proactive government in this space. We're already strengthening our laws through
00:42Parliament to make sure that we have the protections that we need and we will work with governments
00:47around the world to make sure that we work in step with them to regulate this sector and not just
00:53leave
00:54it to the private sector in order to develop technology that has such a profound effect on all of our
00:58lives.
