00:30Wednesday that he would submit his resignation letter after returning from China, where he
00:36accompanied Anwar on a three-day working visit to Shanghai and Hangzhou. Luke said his decision to
00:42resign was final and that he would hand in the letter upon his return. He offered to step down
00:47following a DAP Central Executive Committee or CEC meeting on September 19th after former
00:54Prime Minister Datuk Sri Najib Razak was granted a conditional pardon. However, Luke said the
01:01other DAP ministers and deputy ministers would remain in the unity government. Anwar also
01:07said DAP should not bow to calls from parties he described as having political interests
01:12to leave the unity government.
