00:02My favorite thing early season is Big Ten folks saying that Notre Dame's schedule is a joke
00:10as they load up to play their third Big Ten team so far this season.
00:16Wisconsin and Michigan State so far, they are going to play the Boilermakers here today
00:20as a 27.5-point favorite.
00:23And quite frankly, Notre Dame might as well be playing the Georgia Bulldogs
00:27in comparison to what the Miami Hurricanes are doing as they host Central Michigan
00:33laying 41.5.
00:36Either of these games catch your eye here today, Dave?
00:39No, Miami's going to pick their number against Central Michigan,
00:42and it's one of those situations where, all right, on to the next one.
00:45As for Notre Dame, you can only play who's on your schedule.
00:49Notre Dame's schedule has been picked years in advance,
00:51and the Big Ten teams they're playing just aren't good this year.
00:55That's just what it is.
00:55You can't expect them to be able to play Ohio State, Indiana, go over to the ACs.
01:00They're not in a conference, so they play who they play.
01:03Miami, neither one of these teams is going to be challenged
01:06until they face off each other on November 7th.
01:11The thing with the Miami stuff, though, is the follow-up games before that
01:19are Clemson, Florida State, Pitt, and North Carolina.
01:22If none of those are close, I will be impressed.
01:26Like, that would be, I don't care about Central Michigan here, you know,
01:31in late September, whatever it might be.
01:33I will say for Notre Dame today, the Purdue defense looks awful.
01:40One of the worst power conference defenses in college football.
01:45I'm curious how Notre Dame approach it.
01:48Because if they let CJ Carr drop back and throw it 30 times,
01:52they should score 50.
01:55Honestly, like, they really should.
01:58But they are very entrenched in figuring out who their running backs should be.
02:04And the running attack has not been good.
02:08So if they spend the majority of this game trying to figure out their running back room,
02:13which is what they did against Michigan State,
02:15it's going to be hard to cover numbers, hit props, and the total.
02:21So it's just something to keep your eyes on.
02:23I do think CJ Carr throws multiple touchdown passes here in this game, Dave.
02:28I do think that for both these teams, it's a get out, get in, get out, get it done.
02:34Don't get anybody injured.

02:37This is not going to be one of those things where you get an alert on your phone
02:40that Purdue leads Notre Dame by a point in the fourth quarter.
02:43Maybe not cover the spread, but Purdue and Central Michigan
02:46just don't have the talent to keep up with Miami and Notre Dame.

02:53I wouldn't be surprised if both Carr and Mensah sit out the fourth quarter.
