00:00What if the law had to be applied, even against someone you love the most?
00:03This hadith teaches us a lesson about justice that is impossible to ignore.
00:07The Prophet, peace be upon him, said, By Allah, even if Fatima were to steal, I would have her hand
00:13cut off.
00:13A woman from the tribe of Banu Makzum had committed theft and she was brought before the Prophet, peace be
00:19upon him.
00:20She sought protection through Umm Salama, may Allah be pleased with her, hoping that her connection might save her.
00:26But the Prophet, peace be upon him, made it clear.
00:28Justice cannot have one rule for the powerful and another for everyone else.
00:32And this is where the lesson becomes deeply personal.
00:34It reminds us that truth should not change because of someone's family, status, wealth or influence.
00:41The Prophet, peace be upon him, even mentioned his beloved daughter Fatima.
00:44May Allah be pleased with her to make the principle absolutely clear.
00:48No one is above justice and no relationship should make us compromise what is right.
00:52This hadith teaches us to be fair, honest and courageous enough to stand with the truth,
00:57even when it is difficult.
