00:25than last year's 0-3 start and certainly what's in front of them is a lot different on this schedule
00:31than last year's was and now you lost three games in the afc including one in the division and that's
00:36and it wasn't even to the team that theoretically you felt like you were competing with most in this
00:42division coming into the season that would be the jacksonville jaguars who beat the new england
00:46patriots like a drum today to move to two and one but this this is a team this texans team
00:52is basically they are bad it bad like really bad in two of the three phases of the game and

00:59third phase is will anderson being a one-man wrecking crew so that's where we are with this
01:04team right now and they're poorly coached on top of that you win the coin toss and you put that
01:09offense on the field to start the game that's how the game began the game ended with demico ryan's
01:14letting 35 seconds burn off the clock before using a timeout this team can't manage a game right now
01:20this team can't manage their special teams right now this offense is a mess and i don't care about
01:25nico collins being out that's inexcusable what we saw offensively today for most of that game

03:23out about the results of this game can you you weren't here obviously last year when the team
03:27started oh and three um but can you take us inside the locker room um what's the mood of the
03:33team right
03:33now yeah hey sean hey clint um you know you got to try and be as professional as you can

03:40we're a little deflated um obviously that that sucks um you know they you know credit to them
03:46they made the last last play today um and uh it's tough you know um three straight weeks going on

03:54um you know preparing as as well as we feel we do um and not coming away with any wins

04:00you know the locker room's hurting but um it's a really good message to end the um
04:05to end the call up you know um talking about pouring into your work um doing a little more
04:11um continuing to grow and to learn and to be humble and be passionate about this game
04:16um you know a lot of things that um shouldn't be that hard a lot of things that um sound

04:23bare minimum but um re-preaching um readdressing um and acknowledging and being honest with yourself
04:30that's um that's where we're at right now guys foster can you take us uh behind the curtain a
04:35little bit with with the the failed fourth down last week and the failed fourth down this week
04:40you know being an old player watching it seems like y'all's y'all's strong point is downhill
04:45inside more of what the world knows is g scheme kind of pin and pull getting getting leverage versus
04:52that stretching that zone that zone concepts to the outside is there talk to me a little bit about
04:59that being the fourth down call and that being a struggle yeah um you know we we see it on

05:05and we identify it as something that we think that we could attack um obviously multiple weeks in a
05:09row um and it sucks that we just keep coming up short on it um i get it you know
05:15um i get it the
05:18definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results but you
05:22know a lot of the times it's also the definition of greatness right doing the same thing over and over
05:26again and expecting a different result um you know as as players coaches staff you know um we we liked
05:33our look that's you know why we go for it that's that's a call from the the head coach and
05:38and we
05:38agree with him we ride with him um it just sucks that we come up short and obviously we come

05:43we come up three points short today um but you know it's hard to play hindsight football i try not
05:50to delve into that too much um you know yeah she would have been nice to run you know another

05:57that would have gotten us first down sure but that was our play call and we had to execute it

06:05on a late field goal 19 to 17 the final score um what what was the biggest difference for you

06:12guys seem to get going get things kind of moving in the fourth quarter of this football game
06:16what was different about that part of the game as opposed to the first three quarters
06:20uh i don't know i mean we we keep beating on the door um and you know eventually we we
06:26started to
06:26break it down we we found like we had some you know a couple advantageous looks that we got to

06:31in the second late in the second quarter and um you know that that kind of true we tried to
06:37boil over
06:37with it um felt like we had some opportunities but i mean obviously obviously obviously came up short
06:43um you know just i mean i i like a lot of the things that we're doing and i think
06:49a lot of
06:49them are effective and successful but i mean at the rate we're doing it right now it's hard
06:53you know i get it and i i empathize with the people who are looking at it and saying what
06:58the hell are
06:58we doing i i get it but um man when it works guys i'm telling you like that god it's
07:04a lot of fun to
07:05play this this style of football if you could if you could really get behind your pads and move some
07:09people we got some great backs and some athletic receivers some difference makers in the tight end
07:14room and obviously our our quarterback's a great player um you know getting behind our pads um playing
07:19behind a a stout o line that's that's what we got to do um and it sucks that we keep
07:25coming up short
07:26and i'm feeling for the people that are rooting for us and we're going to get our shit together
07:30foster what is your what's your you know this thing you included in this i mean it seems like
07:36the offseason that the entire offseason which which we all love is and and know there was a
07:42desperate need for it is is the the the makeup the physicality the the like you you just explained it
07:48you just laid it out man and and then you know there's obviously on the back side of that is
07:54you know you want a road grade but you also got to be able to protect cj and allow him
07:58to do some
07:59things kind of what's your what's your your view of of the the struggles in in past protection
08:04earlier this year as well as earlier in today's game in the first half particular
08:08yeah i mean uh you know we again we have to find ourselves in in advantageous positions to take
08:14to take care of some you know some short game stuff right like everyone's got good players right
08:20um if you guys want us to drop back 50 times a game and and drop back into five-man

08:25and try to win football games like that like that's a really hard way to win um you know trying

08:31to our strengths and play to our advantages that's um that's that's point a um that's what we got to
08:37do um we got some we got good players um and we just got to go fucking prove it nope

09:38you know sean so in our in our position a lot of times it's like sometimes you the questions are
09:44so obvious you have to ask them right i mean sure it may be a little uncomfortable but like a

09:48times when i'm doing interviews it's like it ain't even i know i'm not going to get any kind of

09:52like i i know it's so it's like what's the point even what's the point even asking some of the
09:56questions about protection about not being able to run the ball you know but he i've heard him
10:01multiple times he's a guy that i got a ton of respect for in in our world he always gives

10:41insanity doing the same thing over and over again and so i appreciate it and to be very clear there

10:57read the room a little bit and go okay like david montgomery had on up to the bills game we

11:04kind of thing and he talked about taking his son to the zoo and whatnot there were going to be

11:08questions like that for foster moreau today people are pissed and they have a right to be pissed
11:12they should be pissed this offense is a joke right now yeah it is it is a it is a

11:20defense the colts they gave up 500 yards in each of their last two games now granted that was with
11:26patrick mahomes and lamar jackson at quarterback in both of those games and and you know and look
11:31cj stroudsman thought we were going to i mean we thought there was a time when that would work but
11:35today in 2026 we thought we were gonna be gonna be the same tears and that's yeah there was a
11:39time
11:40right there was a time now and i still don't think cj is like the major problem with the offense

11:44anything like that like he's he's not getting any protection he's got no run game to lean on
11:48no and so you know there are the things he needs to do better sure but when your number one

11:53is xavier hutchinson and you have no run game and the guys can't pass protect you know unless you are
11:59one of those guys like lamar jackson or pat mahomes it's it's hard for a guy who i think is

12:04average quarterback to elevate what's going on around him right now and his offense coordinator isn't
12:08doing him any favors either so i that's if people are angry about it they got every right to be
12:13and the special teams too the special teams are so bad it was getting ignored by the broadcast team
12:18on cbs at the end of the game the kymie fairbrand kicked the ball into the end zone for a

12:22on the last two kickoffs after the texans last two scores he kicked it into the end zone
12:27and it's it automatically comes out to the 35 yard line like the colts didn't have to go very far
12:32to go get that game winning field goal today i mean you're 20 yards with a guy that's kicking 58

12:3659 yarders you're halfway up the net yeah he's not just he's not just squeaking him over the crossbar
12:42like he spencer schrader is hitting halfway up the net on those kicks so this is a this is a

12:48this is a poorly coached team right now this is a poorly organized team right now the roster has some
12:54messy parts to it as well most notably for three straight years you've tried to fix the offensive line
12:58and the offensive line is not fixed so people have a right to be mad and i'm guessing we're going

13:03get a lot of angry phone calls today this is what i texted a buddy of mine and said this
13:06is going to
13:06be one of those customer service agent post game shows where we're just taking angry phone calls
13:11from people and asking if they kept their receipts i'll keep the answers to a minimum sean so we can
13:15get to everybody that calls man i apologize what's the most concerning thing to you right now about
13:21this team you hit the nail on the head offensive line yeah i mean it's it's because it's it's it's

13:24lot worse than than just all today today was not a good look in the first half in particular i

13:30it's you've got you've got keelan rutledge chasing a a d tackle on an obvious uh you know tackle end
13:38um uh stunt stunt i mean i mean and they work on it every day i've watched them in training

13:44on it over and over and over and over and over again during water breaks and he and it's one

13:48for that kind of move to beat you i've said this a million times it's one thing to have that

13:54you but as a guard when you see when the tackle that's over your head or inside or outside technique
13:59immediately shoots towards the tackle like you turning your hips and chasing him into the tackle
14:06is is little league stuff yep i mean that's little league stuff like like getting your hips parallel to
14:12the the sideline is is little league stuff when you know i mean it's all they've worked on they've
14:19they've told us in press conferences like it's one thing for keelan rutledge to be a guy that
14:24you know that that hey the wart on for him and the struggle for him is going to be pass
14:28protection well
14:29the problem is is you've got two other right guards in ingram and why it totally have similar
14:33problems and now all of a sudden out of the gate your tackles have had more problem pass
14:36protecting this year than than expected um as well so i think just the inability of nick casario all
14:44the way down um nick casario and domico rines they talk about being adjoined at the hip and all these
14:48decisions and definitely in the war room and in the draft and free agents um the inability to put a
14:54just a competent just a competent offensive line on the field is it's it's getting to the point where
15:00i mean it's it's mind-blowing that you can't it's funny you use the word competent because that's
15:05seth and i were texting after the game was over about the game and i said the the biggest problem
15:10like oh and three i mean like we've been we've been at oh and three before like i can i
15:16can live with
15:16oh and three if it looks a certain way and it looks like there's a way out last year i

15:21were on three and it looked like there was a way out and it turned out there was a way

15:24about this one man i don't know like the way the schedule lays out is one thing that i've harped

15:28from the time they the the final gun hit against cincinnati last week and the warning that i was
15:33giving people about losing to cincinnati like look man they lose this game you got six home games and
15:38nine road games the rest of the way and the games do not line up easily and all those cold
15:42weather
15:42games at the end of the year where if the season's spinning out of control boy those will get
15:46interesting but that was the exact word i used with seth i said you know like it's it's not that
15:50they're losing it's in two of the three phases they look completely incompetent they don't look
15:55competitive they look like they don't know what they're doing yep and that's a coaching issue you
16:01know that's that it's i mean it's on the players too obviously you got to execute well i just i

16:05want to hear execute i don't want to hear mechanics and and technique i'm so i'm so like just exhausted
16:12with that approach yeah i mean you you just you can't you can't go out there i had four things
16:18sean and the show friday i have four things that should never show up on the texans game film again
16:25and one of those four things was outside zone any kind of outside whether you toss it or hand it

16:37they did the first damn short yardage what you didn't want them to do but it's it's not even i

16:42nate tice is tweeting about it over and over again i mean people are talking about all over the city

16:50today you
16:51mentioned the second half they got a little traction yeah go back and watch that film and
16:54when they when they did run it effectively look at the kind of run there's there i put it to

16:58this way so it's radio friendly if an offensive lineman is pulling yeah it's what they should be
17:03doing right if they're all doing a line dance towards the sideline it is not what this offense
17:07should be doing right and and how how d'amico ryan's and and and nick cayley and all in this
17:13collective group of offensive coaches how they all got together and said first fourth and short
17:18boys we're gonna run the same play we ran last week and everybody was talking about this week
17:24same exact play it's egregious it's malpractice that's you mentioned the coin toss winning the
17:29coin toss putting this offense on the field the fourth down running that same play you mentioned
17:32not kicking the ball you know in in play and giving them touchbacks and giving the ball at the 35
17:37yard line you mentioned not calling timeouts at the end of the game and letting 20 plus seconds
17:40run off the clock yeah i mean you're just i mean that that is to your point it is that
17:44is a disaster
17:45it's a disaster you are you are you are committing malpractice you are willfully willfully reducing
17:53the chances of your team winning the game yeah like these are decisions like the the the coin toss
17:59thing and the timeout usage burns me up because that's just a mental thing that's not so that you
18:04don't get overpowered that's not something where i got beat physically because this guy's just more
18:08skilled or more stronger than i am these are basic things that you have time to think about
18:13you had you are you telling me that domico ryan's watched that offense last week that put up six
18:20points against the cincinnati bangles six points oh for four in the red zone they had all weeks to
18:27think about what they were going to do if they won the coin toss and the decision he came up
18:32with was to
18:32put that offense on the field when you have a defense that everybody shouts from the rooftops
18:39domico himself said it in in in one of his press conferences before the season that well the defense
18:45is probably going to be our strong suit and the offense just needs to come along yeah that put them
18:50on the field to start the game put them on the field that you had all week you had seven
18:56i'm gonna
18:57foster morel this thing you had seven days to think about what you wanted to do if you won the
19:03coin toss on the road and the math regardless of how good your offense or defense is the math says
19:0899 of the time you defer because you might get an extra possession out of it you might finish the

19:13with the ball and then get it to start again in the second half the pure math of it says
19:18to defer
19:19but the only time you don't defer is when you want to put your strong side of the ball out

19:23to kind of make a statement he put the offense out there well this this is a defer at all

19:29all time all time because of your defense you put the defense out there yeah like this is you
19:34that's that's that's what burns me up like it's it's not even one of those things like the time
19:38out at the end of the game even though everybody that roots for the texans was probably screaming
19:42use your timeouts use your timeouts and then he uses it 38 seconds after we're all screaming at the tv
19:47and burns all that time off the clock which by the way they could have used that time that's right

19:57think about that and that was what you decided to do was put your offense on the field in a
