00:01and they certainly received a hero's welcome. Not only was there a really rare and special
00:06water salute, as that airplane touched down on the tarmac, holding the Lions, the reigning
00:12Premiers that have won back-to-back-to-back Premierships, there was a water cannon with
00:18two fire trucks on the side of that plane, and they shot their water out, and there was
00:23this incredible rainbow that came out. It was really a way to welcome the champions
00:28back on home soil, as well as having them bring that cup back. We saw skippers, co-skippers,
00:34I guess, as you can imagine, Hugh McCluggage, Josh Dunkley, as well as Harris Andrews, come
00:39out holding the cup high, and a lot of weary eyes from a few of the players, including
00:45the likes of Logan Morris, who really did score that winning goal that really just changed
00:52everything for the Lions in the last four minutes of that fourth quarter. Truly epic, and really
00:58Brisbane know how to put on a show because they decked out the airport in blue, maroon
01:03and gold, and they made sure that there were posters everywhere that really did emphasise
01:09the fact that there was that three-peat. It is historic, and it's historic not just for
01:13the team, but also for their iconic coach who's been at the helm, Chris Fagan. He will be joining
01:19the likes of Lee Matthews achieving this historic three-peat for the Brisbane Lions, but he really
01:25has sort of left questions over his coaching future still in the air. Now, he says that he
01:31will be looking towards what his coaching future will look like for next year, and he did speak
01:36to a few of us outside of the airport after landing. We did also speak to a number of weary
01:41-eyed fans
01:42who had stayed up all morning just to wait for the Lions to return home. Here's a little bit of

02:04they come off and just celebrate with them. It's such a massive achievement, so we took up watching
02:08AFL a few years ago, and it's just awesome, so it brought us together. We tried everything to get
02:13there. We tried the ballot. We tried all the competitions we could, but it wasn't meant to
02:16be, so this is the best we can do, and we wanted to be here for them. Certainly no better
02:21way to end
02:22an epic weekend and an epic grand final indeed. Now, the boys have earned a much-needed rest for
02:28tomorrow, but they will be up bright and early on Tuesday for a very official public celebration
02:34to celebrate this historic three-peat at Brisbane's River Stage on Tuesday, so it'll be very exciting
02:39indeed.
