00:00It only takes five minutes to have this custard ready.
00:03Look at that.
00:04Wow, creamy, full of flavor.
00:07And of course, an intense chocolate taste.
00:10And the recipe, as always, super easy.
00:13Four quick steps.
00:14And that's it.
00:15Just how we like it on this channel.
00:17Everything super simple.
00:19So you can go ahead and make this recipe at home.
00:22You leave your guests speechless.
00:25You have to make it.
00:27Look at how it turns out.
00:29Wow.
00:30This wonder looks amazing.
00:34Custard texture.
00:35And all the chocolate flavor.
00:37Super easy.
00:38With few ingredients.
00:39And ready in five minutes.
00:41You can ask for more.
00:42This chocolate custard is spectacular.
00:45I'm Viti.
00:46This is La Cocina de la Abuela.
00:48Stay until the end.
00:49Because I'll be sharing a few tricks along the way.
00:54We start with 500 ml of milk.
00:57Which is two cups.
00:58We're going to set aside about half a cup.
01:01And we'll set it aside.
01:03We'll also need 30 grams of cornstarch to thicken the mixture.
01:07Add it right there into the milk we had set aside.
01:09Trick number one.
01:11Cold milk to dissolve the cornstarch.
01:14Otherwise, not a soul will be able to dissolve it.
01:18Stir well and in 10 seconds you'll have it ready.
01:21Next ingredient.
01:22Two large eggs.
01:24Put them here in a small bowl so no eggshell slips in.
01:29We add the previous mixture to the two eggs and mix well.
01:33Go for it.
01:34Whisk until everything is well combined.
01:37Just 20 seconds.
01:39If they don't have this yellowish color, they aren't ready.
01:42Keep going.
01:4320 more seconds.
01:45This is how the mixture should look.
01:48Yellowish.
01:49Now grab a saucepan.
01:50Add the rest of the milk and turn on the heat.
01:54Low heat.
01:57Next ingredient.
01:58Cocoa.
01:5820 grams.
01:59Which is about 2 teaspoons.
02:01I use Valor.
02:02Do you know of any that's cheaper?
02:05You know, in the comments, we add it right there.
02:08We also add 60 grams of sugar to sweeten it up.
02:11And we are going to keep stirring.
02:14While the milk heats up and everything melts, making a spectacular mix.
02:20Tip number two.
02:21The cocoa dissolves as the milk heats up.
02:25Little by little.
02:27Why?
02:28Because if you try to do it cold, you won't succeed.
02:31And if you do it with all the ingredients already in the mix, you run the risk of lumps forming.
02:36A lot of lumps.
02:38Our chocolate milk is well mixed.
02:41Completely dissolved.
02:42So now it's time for the chocolate that will give it that super flavor.
02:46100 grams, half a bar.
02:48You can use any chocolate you want.
02:51Milk chocolate.
02:52Dark chocolate.
02:53With a higher cocoa percentage.
02:55With less.
02:56Whatever you like best.
02:58Even with white chocolate.
02:59It's amazing.
03:01The more chopped up it is, the faster it melts.
03:04So if you're in a hurry, chop it up.
03:05Really finely with a knife and in a matter of seconds, you'll have it ready.
03:09If you're a lazy bum like me, well, you just toss it in squares.
03:13Man, it's going to dissolve anyway.
03:15Or melt.
03:16But I don't know which of the two words is the right one.
03:18It's going to melt just the same and the pudding will come together.
03:22There you go.
03:23Chocolate goes in and give it a little stir.
03:26I'm telling you, this is a piece of cake.
03:28The pudding will be ready in no time.
03:32Pro tip.
03:34To stir until it thickens, keep moving, switch from the spatula to the kitchen whisk, always
03:40silicone, cheap plastic, whatever, but not metal.
03:44Because otherwise, you'll scratch the whole pot.
03:47With the spatula, you scrape the sides, you scrape the bottom so nothing sticks.
03:52With the whisk, you break up any lumps that might form.
03:56And in the end, well, you're done.
03:59Don't worry.
04:01I was just switching back and forth between the whisk and the spatula whenever I felt like
04:05it, until I got it all dissolved.
04:08Now it's time to add the egg mixture we set aside earlier.
04:11Turn the heat up to medium and stir until it thickens.
04:15Of course, switch between whatever you need, spatula or whisk.
04:20Just look at how it turns out.
04:22Take it off the heat.
04:23It only took us a couple of minutes and give it one last stir so it cools down quickly.
04:29Before pouring this wonderful mixture into the little bowls we have ready.
04:33In my case, my usual glasses.
04:38Well, if you've made it this far, it means you're enjoying the video.

04:59Let's go.
05:01Come on.
05:02Hit that clicky click.
05:03I have a bonus trick that just occurred to me right now.
05:07What do you guys think?
05:09We use a funnel to fill our little cups?
05:13Or will it be a total mess?
05:16You can place your bets in the comments.
05:19And, well, if any of you have already tried it, tell us about your experience.
05:24I'm going to try it on the fly.
05:26One shot.
05:26Here we go.
05:27Let's see what happens.
05:29Hey, seems like a good idea, right?
05:31Look for a funnel with a big hole and you'll see the magic.
05:36Everything stays inside.
05:38Nothing gets wasted.
05:39Incredible!
05:40Here we go.
05:42I place it there.
05:43I pour the mixture over it.
05:45It's still warm, so it goes down with no problem at all there.
05:49So far, it works.
05:51Though I gotta warn you, the system seems a bit slow.
05:54But, well, I'm already on track.
05:57So, here I go.
05:58Now something's happening to me.
06:00I'm realizing I have to jump from one to the other and some will spill.
06:04Come on.
06:05There I am.
06:06Well, so, so the trick works.
06:08Yes, but it's not perfect.
06:11Once you have all these little glasses filled, all you need to do is put them in the fridge
06:16for at least two hours.
06:18And if it's four, even better.
06:20And if it's overnight, you won't have any problem at all.
06:24I step back.
06:25And now I realize that fourth glass is one too many because they're gigantic chocolate shavings.
06:34I love them.
06:35Could also be almonds.
06:37It could also be shredded coconut, strawberries, whatever you like.
06:42Anything goes amazingly with this dessert.
06:44After two hours in the fridge, it looks like what you see.
06:49Here, check it out.
06:50Chocolate custard made in five minutes and looking as spectacular as you see in the video.
06:55Check it out.
06:56Look, it already has texture.
06:59And that's how creamy they get a showstopper.
07:03Just like that.
07:05Who can beat that?
07:06You have to make them.
07:08Look at this gorgeous custard.
07:11Amazing, man.
07:13Look at that.
07:15Creamy.
07:16Intense flavor of chocolate.
07:19Of course.
07:20Cool and fresh.
07:22Honestly, this dessert has everything to be a hit.
07:25And, you know, I got three giant ones out of it.
07:28But you can make six regular size ones.
07:31Yogurt cup size.
07:33125 grams.
07:34I'll leave the ingredients right around here, wherever they fit.
07:37Thanks for stopping by.
07:38Love you guys.
07:39See you in the next video.
07:41I'm going to keep enjoying this.
07:43Because there are only a few left in the fridge.
07:45And things are going to get wild.
07:48So good.
07:50No more, you amorous butterfly.
07:55Flitting around night and day.
07:58Disturbing the peace of the beauties.
08:02Little Narcissus.
08:04Little Adonis of love.
08:06Disturbing the peace of the beauties.
08:08Little Narcissus.
