00:00Check out the treat we've got for you today. A creamy chocolate dessert made
00:05with very few ingredients, the main one being day-old bread. A great way to use
00:10up leftovers. And here you have the result. A creamy marvelous treat, packed
00:16with flavor that will bring a tear to your guests eyes. Here, take a look at
00:21how amazing it looks and what would you say if I told you that it only takes
00:26five quick minutes of work, not a second more. Easy, right? A budget-friendly
00:31recipe for today? A chocolate pudding or chocolate cake. Call it whatever you want
00:37or even chocolate flan. Whatever you like. The point is, it's a chocolate dessert
00:41made with stale or soft bread. It doesn't matter. Whatever you have left over from
00:44the day before works super well and that way you don't throw anything away. I'm VT.
00:49This is Grandma's Kitchen. Let's get started.
00:54Essential ingredient. Bread. 200. 250 grams of day-old bread so we can put
00:59leftovers to good use. If you've run out of bread, don't worry, man. You can add
01:07whatever. Those croissants you have lying around hard as rocks. Cookies. I don't know.
01:13Sandwich bread. You toss in the crust. You cut off the sandwich bread because you're so
01:18picky. I know you are. Whatever you want. Anything goes with this dessert and that
01:22way you get rid of it and put it to good use. So there we go. Little by little
01:27turning the baguette into cubes, we'll have it ready in no time. It's good to cut
01:32the bread into little cubes. Why? Well, because it soaks in better than if you
01:36just throw in the whole block of bread, which would take forever. And besides, you
01:41save the blender some work later on. If you use one though, I don't know if you're
01:44going to use it or not, you'll have to tell me. Let's move on to the mold. We're going
01:49to add some caramel and coat both the base and the sides so nothing sticks to it when
01:54we unmold it. This one is about 20 centimeters. 21 or 22, but any will do. Don't worry. 80
02:03grams of chocolate. I'm going to use this baking chocolate, which melts super well. We're going
02:08to put it in a saucepan here, and if you have a different chocolate, don't worry. It works
02:13just as well. Milk 400 milliliters that we are going to use to melt our chocolate and
02:19give our dessert some body. So pour the 400 milliliters of milk right in there. If you
02:26want it creamier, you can add another 100 milliliters of milk. No problem at all. And that way, if
02:31you're using a bigger mold, you'll fill it up too. Low heat. Here we go. And without stopping,
02:38stirring with a spatula so that all the chocolate doesn't get stuck to the bottom. In less than
02:44a minute, the chocolate will have melted and you'll have chocolate milk as good as the one
02:49I have right here. Don't drink it. You're going to pour it over the bread that we had chopped
02:55up, you see, right there. And it'll soak up super fast. I recommend leaving your bread with
03:01the chocolate right there for 30 seconds so it absorbs it and gets thoroughly soaked.
03:07In the meantime, we keep moving. Let's grab some eggs. We need three large eggs. I always
03:15put them in a little bowl here so not a single eggshell slips into the final mixture. A handy
03:21little trick that works and only takes about 20 seconds to guarantee great results. As soon
03:27as you have the eggs, you move to a mixing bowl because this is where the magic is going
03:31to happen. Got it. So in go the eggs. There we go. Now we're going to add plenty of sweetness.
03:39It's pretty much to taste. I'm going to add 60 grams of sugar, erythritol or however you
03:44pronounce that also works if you want to use it. There it is. In it goes. We whisk it really
03:50well and in no time the eggs and sugar will be ready. Time to decide which way to go.
03:56If you add it as is, it's going to turn out great and you'll be able to see the well
04:01-soaked
04:01pieces of bread when you slice it. But if you lean more toward a creamy flan-style finish,
04:08you blend it. Which of the two options do you prefer? I've made my choice. You. Let
04:14me know in the comments as I read every single one.
04:18One thing led to another and the bread soaked up the milk and chocolate wonderfully. So now we
04:26mix the two together. Preparations.
04:31And I decided to blend it because the kids at home are very picky. And if I blend it,
04:37it turns out creamy and they love it. Come on. 20 seconds in the blender at full blast
04:43until there's not a single lump left. Do you see how nice this mixture turned out? It didn't
04:48take me any time at all. I set the blender to 12, which is max speed, and I had it
04:53in
04:54no time. Now for the mold. I forgot to tell you that I've been keeping it in the fridge.
04:58So it gets a bit firm, you know? The caramel turns out much better. Alright, let's pour it
05:04over using a piping bag. No, not a piping bag. A spatula to spread everything out nicely.
05:10And now, a pro tip. Give it a few taps like this and there won't be any air bubbles left.
05:15Much better.
05:17If you know any other leftover recipes to make the most of stale bread, let me know in the comments.
05:23I need them and I'm gonna make every single one because I have a huge amount of bread that I
05:29bought
05:30for this Sunday's birthday party. And in the end, it was all left behind. You see, they ate the Spanish
05:34omelette, but barely touched the bread. By the way, don't you guys feel like birthday parties are
05:39turning into first communion celebrations? First communion celebrations into weddings. And weddings,
05:44I don't even know anymore. Into royal coronations or something like that. That's how I feel. More and
05:50more people every time. More hassle and more drama. Back then, I'd hang out with friends, eat some little
05:56pastries and those snack skewers, plus some cheese puffs, potato chips and stuff like that. And we had a blast.
06:02Oh, it's entertainers, clowns, music. I went to one that even had a DJ. You know, a DJ for a
06:10nine-year-old kid.
06:11Can you believe it? I think it's over the top. What do you think? We are going to prepare a
06:16fantastic water bath.
06:18For that, we just need a large, deep roasting pan or baking dish that's oven safe. We pour hot water.
06:25Why? Because it turns out so much better. Place it on top so that it is at least half submerged
06:31and go preheat
06:33the oven to 170 degrees Celsius. With the oven preheated, in goes our cake. Bake for 60 minutes at 170
06:42degrees
06:43Celsius. The dessert is in the oven. So I'll take these few seconds to tell you that if you're there,
06:48don't leave without subscribing. Hit the subscribe button. Turn on the bell next to it so you get my
06:54notifications and you don't have to rely on the algorithm. And that way, step by step, I'm going
06:58to reach a million subscribers. You can and should also give me a like because it's totally free.
07:04It costs you nothing. It helps me a lot. So click those three little things, man. What else could I
07:10ask for?
07:11Once the time is up, the result is guaranteed. Afterwards, take it out of the water bath and let
07:17it rest for at least two hours. Once the time has passed, it will unmold wonderfully. You can leave
07:23it longer overnight. It works great. And thanks to the caramel, you can see the result. It came right
07:29off without any trouble. And I have my dessert ready to bring to the table. Look how amazing it looks.
07:36Check that out. Well, that is all there is to it. Quick and easy. Chocolate dessert made with leftovers.
07:45Pudding, boudin, lamb, cake. Probably whatever you want. The important thing is that it is super
07:51delicious. Here I go. Aerial view. Check that out. How wonderful. You have to make this recipe.
07:58And now I'm going to grab a sharp little knife. We make a little slice. And if everything doesn't
08:05fall apart on me, I'll show you the result. Little spatula. And there you have it. An absolute
08:13showstopper. It looks like it came from a bakery. And no one is going to guess you made it with
08:18day
08:19old bread. Little plate. A generous portion because you can't be stingy with desserts like this. Let me
08:25grab a spoon. Hey, this looks amazing. I'm going to turn the dessert around a bit so you can see
08:30the slice.
08:32Here. There you go. So as I said, spoon. And let's taste it. How fantastic. It just melts in your
08:40mouth.
08:40You have to make this recipe. You and all your guests are going to love it. Save money and enjoy
08:46a treat.
08:46All with one recipe. Pure bliss. Enjoy the chocolate.
08:57This is so good. I left it overnight and today taking advantage of the fact that the kids are
09:03still sleeping and that I had to go out to run some unavoidable errands. I'm gobbling it down this
09:08morning. For breakfast. This is so good. Breakfast, afternoon snack, dessert, whatever you want.
09:16Over there. I'll leave you the ingredients so you can make it at home, you see, using leftovers. Also,
09:22in the description box and throughout the video so no one gets lost. Though today, I don't know why,
09:27my camera keeps shutting off the whole time. If there's an expert in the room, let me know why that
09:33might be here. Man, this is so good, dude. With just a few ingredients. Great results. Here. Wow.
09:42знаю, wow. No, drive. Deep, wow.
09:46Oh, no.
09:47Oh, my.
