00:05of the Nigeria Ports Economic Regulatory Agency, Dr. Pai Osakuta, to transfer the functions of
00:10the inland dry ports to the Nigerian Ports Authority. There are seven inland dry ports,
00:14with one functional, one completed, and the many ones are still in their construction stage. Some
00:19are abandoned because there are no investors to invest in these projects. Investors are scared
00:23if they would get their return on investment. However, there are fears that with the transfer
00:27of these inland dry ports to the Nigeria Ports Authority, will it be another abandoned project?
00:32The Nigeria Ports Authority has several port projects which it's handling, including the
00:36deep sea ports, the river ports, and other port infrastructure that needs rehabilitation.
00:41Take orders asking, will the projects be completed or will it be a case of abandonment?
