00:00Why is he going after pensioners? Why would you go after people who've paid in,
00:05worked hard, juggled jobs, who are finding life difficult at the moment? If you want
00:10to raise money, why wouldn't you cut wasteful spending elsewhere like foreign
00:14aid, net zero subsidies, benefits for migrants? Those are the things that a
00:18reform government would go after. It's just mean. Why penalise pensioners of all
00:23people? And it's even worse than that because this will raise, I don't know,
00:28four billion pounds. The cost of what Andy Burnham is proposing might be 20
00:34billion pounds or even more than that. So it's going to be a double whammy on
00:38pensioners. He's going to cut their pensions and then he's going to come
00:42back for more. What's he going to do? Well, he used to propose a death tax where he
00:48goes after your nest egg when you pass away and you want to hand that on to your
00:52kids and your grandkids. It's going to mean your pension is cut and then when you
00:58pass away you can't even hand your house or your savings on to the next
01:02generation as you'd always planned. It's mean and reform, we're going to fight it
01:06every step of the way.
