00:00You know, guys, I always say this about the NFL.
00:02It's got a way of humbling people.
00:04As great as the Philadelphia Eagles have been over the last four years,
00:0850-18, two NFC championships and a Super Bowl,
00:13man, they rolled into the Windy City and they got their doorknobs blown off.
00:1727-7 from a quarterback that hadn't started a ball game in over 1,009 days.
00:26Case Keenum was Tom Brady-ish last night.
00:31I mean, playing well any time in your career feels good.
00:37To do it on Monday Night Football after you thought you weren't ever going to play again multiple times.
00:48Golly.
00:51This is special.
00:52It's really special.
00:54And I don't know if I'll be able to put it into words tonight.
00:59But I'm going to enjoy it tonight.

01:03You know what you love about that, too?
01:05The love of the game.
01:07You can just feel it with him talking.
01:09Plus, his kids were in the stands.
01:11His kids were too young the last time they saw him playing back in the 2000s, like in around 2018.
01:17And his children were in the stands.
01:19And they got a chance to see their father last night.
01:22Call of Duty, go into the game.
01:24Remember, he was the third-team quarterback heading into this ball game.
01:27And he goes 24-34.
01:29And he just lights the game up last night.
01:32He was making pinpoint throws.
01:35He was just unbelievable last night.
01:38You know, I don't know if Case Keenum can win a boatload of games with the Chicago Bears.
01:42And the fact that he's in for Caleb Williams.
01:45But I'll tell you what.
01:46That's a game to remember.
01:48Those are the kind of games that a guy like Case Keenum, who's played in the NFL for 14 years,
01:54is going to always remember.
01:56His team called on him.
01:57He was spectacular.
02:00247 yards plus a rushing touchdown.
02:03Just a tremendous opportunity for him.
02:05And his coach, Ben Johnson, knew it.
02:07Yeah, no, he was confident in what he was doing.
02:11You know, it was the night before the game.
02:14We always do our quarterback meeting.
02:15And he ran the show.
02:19The coaching staff kind of took a back seat.
02:21And there were no reminders from us.
02:23He was just going through the list of every single play that was on the plan.
02:26And what he was going to do.
02:28And gave us his favorites.
02:29And that was really it.
02:30I thought that right there is a good indicator of what it's going to look like on game day.
02:36And, you know, we needed it.
02:38We needed him to play that well.
02:40Particularly how slow we were staying on schedule in terms of that running game there for the first three quarters.
02:45So, not a surprise at all.
02:48You know, he just tackled everything this week with enthusiasm.
02:52I think the guys really responded to how he was approaching.
02:57And they knew.
02:58They knew going into it, whether it's Caleb, whether it's Tyson, whether it's Case.
03:02Like, we've got one of the best quarterback rooms in the NFL.
03:05And tonight was a reflection of that.
03:08This dude right here just might be the best play designer in in-game situational play calling head football coach
03:16in the game right now.
03:18Look, I think Andy Reid.
03:20I think Kyle Shanahan.
03:21I think Sean McVay.
03:22We sit at the top of that list when you're talking about coaches that are head guys that can call
03:28plays.
03:28But situational play calling.
03:30And the play designs last night with a third-team quarterback was savant-ish.
03:36He was just brilliant last night.
03:39And, by the way, if you want to go up to Detroit and see what's wrong with that football team,
03:44how about the fact that Ben Johnson is no longer the OC up there,
03:47and that team has wobbled since he has left the building.
03:51Tremendous job of coaching last night.
03:53And you know what he's also brought?
03:55He's also brought an energy to the building.
03:57It's also brought something maybe since Mike Ditka, where Chicago really has embraced his coach.
04:03This football team is a good football team.
04:05If Caleb Williams would have started last night,
04:08they may have put 50 on that Eagles team who I thought was really not prepared to play.
04:14Nick Sirianni, again, has to address this here.
04:17This coach here has had great success over the last five years,
04:21but he knew that team was not ready to play last night.
04:24I think we all have to own that loss right there.
04:28I don't think anybody coached well.
04:30I don't think anyone played well.
04:32It was a true team loss.
04:34And when it's a true team loss, you know, I have to look at myself first.
04:38Like, we weren't ready to coach.
04:40We weren't ready to play.
04:41And that ultimately starts and ends with me.
04:45And, again, it was just, you know, it's my responsibility.
04:49Every product, everything that's on that field is my responsibility.
04:52I didn't do a good enough job.
04:55We'll keep coaching it like crazy.
04:57We can't.
04:57We have to be able to master the things that require no talent.
05:01And we had some penalties, you know, pre-snap penalties.
05:07We had some penalties in the secondary also.
05:11Just, and obviously, right, the turnovers as well.
05:14To be down 3-0 on turnovers, it's hard to overcome.
05:17And I have to do a better job coaching.
05:21And, like I said, you know, it always starts with me and always ends with me.
05:25You know, I hate that stuff.
05:28You know, and people will say that's accountability.
05:30Don't talk to me on Monday or Tuesday after the fact.
05:34Hey, dude, the media doesn't need explanations on why you didn't show up last night in Chicago.
05:39Your team does.
05:40You need to tell that stuff inside your locker room to your team that why your football team didn't show
05:46up last night.
05:47Hey, we need to coach better.
05:48Hey, we need to play better.
05:50Really?
05:50What an epiphany.
05:52Wow, what a real reach that was.
05:54Your football team got blasted last night by a third-team quarterback and was embarrassed on national television.
