00:04A quarter start to the day, but also bright with some sunshine.
00:08There are some showers around.
00:09Low pressure sits towards the northwest of the country.
00:12A squeeze on the ice of ours, so still a windy day across the northwest of Scotland.
00:17Winds will ease through the day elsewhere before into tonight and tomorrow.
00:22Showery bursts of rain move in.
00:23This is an active front.
00:24It could bring some heavy downpours, even with the chance of thunder.
00:27And the wind's picking up some strength through Thursday into Friday as well.
00:32Now, through this morning, yes, still that stronger wind towards the northwest and some showers here.
00:38A little bit of rain across the far northeast of Scotland.
00:41And these showers just drifting across the sky towards the northeast.
00:44But there are some sunshine around and also some mist and fog patches where we see light winds towards the
00:50east there.
00:51More breeze towards the west of Wales as well as the west country through this morning,
00:55accompanied with one or two showers, which could be heavy in places.
00:59However, through the morning, yes, we will see some dry skies as well as some sunshine.
01:04We continue with those showers across the northwest.
01:08For Northern Ireland, the cloud will break, allowing for some sunny intervals,
01:12a few showers perhaps creeping in across the west of the province.
01:15And those showers just drifting across the sky across Wales, northwest England, as well as the west country.
01:20But there will be few and far between, many areas just seeing some sunshine through the latter part of the
01:24day.
01:25So drier weather to end the day.
01:28Temperatures then through the afternoon, not as high as yesterday.
01:32But still, we'll see 21, 22 towards more southern and eastern areas.
01:37Now, further west, probably the high teens and across the north there, Northern Ireland, as well as Scotland,
01:41the mid-teens at the very best, feeling fresh in that wind across the northwest of Scotland,
01:46where those showers will continue.
01:48Now, through this evening and overnight, some starry skies, still those showers in the mix.
01:53And then this band of showery rain moves in from the west.
01:57The winds pick up some strength as well.
01:59So some wet weather to come for Wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Northern England,
02:03as it extends across the country.
02:05Dryer across the east midlands, southeastwards, where we'll see a lighter breeze.
02:09But this rain could be heavy in places.
02:11It's fairly sporadic.
02:13There will be some dry interludes in between,
02:14but more moving in from the west into the early hours.
02:18Of tomorrow morning.
02:20Temperatures then a little bit fresher towards more eastern counties,
02:238 or 9 degrees Celsius.
02:24Elsewhere under the clouds and the wind, probably around 9 to 11, 12 Celsius.
02:29Into Friday, you may encounter some sherry bursts through the morning into the afternoon.
02:34The risk of thunder as we see one or two heavier downpours as well.
02:38Brighter skies towards the south as well as the southeast here.
02:41Temperatures probably 21 degrees Celsius.
02:43The bigger picture then through into the weekend.
02:46This weather front here will skirt in across more central parts of the UK through Saturday,
02:52bringing some rain before it fades away.
02:55And then we could see some sherry bursts across the far north of Scotland as the wind picks up some
03:00strength.
03:00Now, the distribution of this rain on Saturday is still slightly uncertain.
03:06Certainly, there will be more clouds and it is sinking southwards.

03:13And we could see some breaks further north across Scotland,
03:16with some showers coming in across Northern Ireland through the afternoon.
