Have the Lions made it into Jansen's top six this week?
Transcript
00:08best teams in the national football league John who are they well last week week three
00:14going into the weekend we had the Seattle Seahawks the defending world champs they were number one
00:21in my power ranking they lost to the commanders what and they had Darnold back yeah they had
00:28their starting quarterback back I mean hey maybe there's a quarterback controversy now put Drew
00:31Locke in there so obviously we'll find out where they fall to because we have I believe it's five
00:40undefeated teams the Buffalo Bills are three and oh you have the Kansas City Chiefs and the Las Vegas
00:47Raiders what three and oh we also have the Minnesota Vikings as well as the San Francisco 49ers all
00:55undefeated but they don't all make the power surge this is not just an undefeated ranking
01:00we also have some teams that are one and two that I think are better maybe than some of those
01:04three
01:04and oh teams so let's go through it here are I'm gonna I was trying to think of a different
01:09word
01:10but I think there are some fraudulent teams and I think fraud might be a little bit of a overreach
01:17when I talk about these teams but the Raiders being three and oh do we think that they are going
01:23to
01:23win their division or even compete for their division which includes the Denver Broncos and
01:28the Kansas City Chiefs no I don't think so so I think they're a bit of a fraudulent team we've
01:34got
01:34some two and one teams that I think are frauds the Pittsburgh Steelers yep are two and one what as
01:40well
01:41as the New York football Giants stunning yeah but I mean so they barely beat the Tennessee Titans
01:48with Jameis Winston and now they have nine so we'll see what happens there but I think they're
01:54a little bit on the fraudulent side of things and the Cleveland Browns are you kidding me two wins
02:01with Deshaun Watson I think they were hoping maybe that they went oh and three so that they could make
02:07a change at quarterback and say yeah we went with the big money guy and now we're going to put
02:12in
02:12Shadour Sanders yet they've won two of their first three it's hilarious because now they're more
02:17stuck with Deshaun yes and so again those I think those four teams are a little bit on the fraudulent
02:22side now some teams that are one and two that were kind of left with what are they the New
02:28Orleans
02:29Saints I think you and I both agree and believe that they are better than a one and two team
02:36it's just
02:36a matter of who they've started off playing I think they ultimately win uh the NFC South because
02:43and we'll find out more about the Carolina Panthers they're also wanted to but I think the New Orleans
02:46Saints are superior uh the Atlanta Falcons got a big win I don't think we're going to see much from
02:51them and Tampa's 0-3 huh with maybe not having a quarterback anymore yikes um and so the LA Rams
03:00I think
03:01this is the most the biggest question mark one and two did we or did everyone get it wrong because
03:10Les Snead went out got Miles Garrett they trade made trades for multiple corners like they did
03:17everything they possibly could to make this team as invincible as possible yet they've started one
03:23and two kind of love it but I do think that they will recover um and the other one Dallas
03:30Dallas Dallas is one and two and they are also in the Joey Porter Jr. sweepstakes I'm not sure
03:38what to make of Dallas offensively high-powered defensively they we talked about all the additions
03:43Caleb Downs in the draft and everything that they've done really at every level they should
03:48have won that game in Rio it was very least gone to overtime did you see what Jerry said about
03:52the
03:52the the coaching decisions like a coaches are on notice he said it was it was terrible how they
03:59mismanaged the end of that game he's right the other teams that are on the outside looking in
04:04the Jacksonville Jaguars are still on the outside looking yes they are on the outside looking in
04:09because their two wins are I mean they handed the Browns their only loss so there's that there you go
04:16yeah they stop in Cleveland for being undefeated they also beat the Pats yeah so there's that
04:22this is why they're only two and one number one defense right now in the NFL right but they played
04:28the Browns in the Pats and they lost to the Broncos they better we'll get there they better be in
04:34right and what uh the Denver Broncos no what Denver Broncos not in right now Denver Broncos
04:41just on the outside looking in just on the outside they're probably a 6b all right and we also have
04:52the Chicago Bears the Detroit Lions Philly is two and one Cincy I mean come on Joe Burrow hold on
04:59to
04:59the ball what are you doing at the end of the game I know you're trying to make a play
05:03but that was
05:04terrible and I put that loss solely on him okay New Orleans because since he should not be losing to
05:09Pittsburgh no New Orleans um I think I already I already talked about them all right so the teams
05:15that are in the Minnesota Vikings are at six and I have them in because they've done it with a
05:23backup
05:24quarterback Carson Wentz now he's obviously got starting experience Kyler Murray is back but they've
05:28been able to manage um you know having losing their starter still winning it hasn't been pretty but
05:35they're three and oh and it's really because of Brian Flores defense yeah they did this is their
05:39debut in the power surge huh yes it is and I think they're I think Brian Flores is a magician
05:44defensively so I think they're going to hang around there they may be in and out a little bit as
05:49well
05:49as Denver in and out but again Denver's out um Baltimore comes in at five and I thought that they
05:56did a nice job of getting back to what they were more in week one and you're probably raising an
06:03eyebrow
06:03thinking Denver should have been other than Baltimore yes I can see it yes yes uh-huh immediate thoughts
06:08but I I think Lamar Jackson while he's probably never going to win the big one did a nice job
06:16along
06:16with the return of Zay Flowers being a more explosive offense they lost they've beaten the Colts and the
06:22Cowboys so again it's kind of like okay well it I agree it's not necessarily Denver Rams and Jags but
06:28I
06:28just don't trust the Denver offense I trust the Denver defense I don't trust the offense whereas
06:33Baltimore I think they can be explosive offensively and they lost to the Saints Seattle drops down to
06:38number four they've beaten the Colts and the Cowboys they lost to the I mean oh no sorry wrong notes
06:43bad loss to the Commanders but Sam Darnold back I think they get back on track I think it was
06:50an
06:50eye-opener I didn't expect them to go 17 and oh I don't expect anybody to go 17 and oh
06:55they just
06:56had a bad week but we'll drop them down to four Kansas City at three and oh this is where
07:00we get
07:00into our undefeated teams they played the Miami Dolphins and some people may say well you know they
07:05should have had a more impressive win against the Dolphins what they did is they took a little pressure
07:11off Kenneth Walker they didn't he didn't touch the ball as many times because this is one that they
07:16believe that they could just show up and win which they did I would call this a professional win and
07:23and I think they did what they had to do preserving some of their key players the San Francisco 49ers
07:29come in at two and Brock Purdy right now is having through three games an MVP caliber season he is
07:39distributing the ball he is leading out there he is doing everything you want to see from a franchise
07:44quarterback and he is in my opinion erasing any doubts that he deserved the contract that people
07:52always go well he was Mr. Irrelevant and now all of a sudden you know he's he's all of this
07:56he's showing
07:57why he is all of that right now and they have been able to stem the tide of some major
08:04injuries you
08:05want to talk about an injury bug Bosa's out Mike Evans they lost him on Sunday they're they've got
08:10some other guys that are out there I think they're just a complete team Buffalo goes to the number one
08:17spot and you might say well Buffalo turned the ball over they barely beat the LA Chargers however
08:23they played probably their worst game that they're going to play all season long and still found a way
08:29to win and when you can win when you play poorly that's the sign of a team that's just it's
08:36hard to
08:37slow down Buffalo we saw what they were against the Detroit so here's the challenge I think Kansas
08:44City's the best team I've seen but I don't think they have the best resume so I'm not going to
08:47fault
08:47you for putting them at three one two and three are going to be synonymous in every power ranking in
08:51the
08:51country so there's really nothing to squabble about my big gripe is is Denver Denver Denver should be
08:56I knew you were going to say that and it's interesting the Vikings are three and oh Seattle
09:01is two and one I'm going to continue to point out why shouldn't Minnesota be ahead of Seattle um
09:08a nine three win over the Bears that's a it's a good win good win right right I just I'm
09:16still not
09:16sure that there is good as other three and oh teams I'm not sure there is good there might not
09:21even be as good as a one and two team yet I can't put in a one and two team
09:25right now I just simply
09:26can't the team that's going to yell disrespect the most Vegas being undefeated but you know what
09:31to all the Raider fans listening go win this week you're hosting Kansas City in a matchup of
09:37unbeatens you want it you want to be respected you want to say that this is real then go out
09:43there
09:43and and you know what this might be okay we would no moral victories but if you can be competitive
09:49against the Kansas City Chiefs now you start to raise an eyebrow like okay if you can be competitive
09:56against the Chiefs but beat some good teams I think we'll start to change our tune a little bit
10:02Tom on your behalf I'm curious where the Texans are do they were they in consideration 25
10:09way down the list did he screw it up anything egregious I don't think so I mean you could
10:13argue Denver in uh where do you have Jacksonville Jacksonville I've got them right there Denver
10:22Jacksonville 6a and b c I mean I if you're gonna put Denver in you gotta put or if you're
10:28gonna put
10:28Jacksonville in you'd have to put Denver in because they beat them but right right I just need a few
10:32more weeks to play out here get some separation let it play out some would say that's the power surge
10:39it's 97-1
