00:03And this is what it all comes down to, Disco. The title match between Pott and Roderick Strong and the
00:09Briscoe Brothers, Jay and Mark Briscoe. This is the match that this weekend was all leading towards. What the last
00:17three, I guess, three or four months of PWG was all leading towards. We had three new matches where there
00:24would be singles vouchers. They would be between two men that were involved in this tournament.
00:30And then, you know, with the announcement of the tournament itself, you know, Chris Sabre and Alex Shelley, when they
00:39were brought to me in the tournament, they took on Roderick Strong. Roderick Strong took on Rocky Romero in some
00:45of those competitions. Claudio Castagnoli, I believe, took on Rocky Romero as well. So there was a lot of build
00:51-up to this tournament, and this is where it all pays off. As the Briscoe Brothers, there we see Mark
00:56on your left, Jay on your right, taking on top.
00:59The man that Bradley forgot, hailing from Newcastle, England, just, I believe, only three years into this professional wrestling career.
01:08And Roderick Strong from Tampa, Florida. They are both, both teams are challenging each other for the PWG World Tag
01:18Team titles.
01:18The titles that were vacated by El Generico and Quicksilver a couple months ago. And so now, this is exactly
01:26what this weekend is all about. This one single match.
01:30That's right. And you have to say that, you know, as we go into this myth right here, the tag
01:38team has to be the favorite of the Briscoe Brothers.
01:41They are my picks to win it all.
01:43That's right. And you may double your money here with that pick. And, oh, boy, it's fast and fierce.
01:52Shoulder tackle from Mark Briscoe, but Roderick Strong came off back with a shoulder tackle to his own, but Mark
01:57catches Roderick with a dropkick, takes him down.
02:00And this is, you know, remember fans, this is the second match this evening, the third, this weekend, the 32
02:06days for both teams. And Roderick Strong and Pac, of course, were the dark horses in the tournament.
02:11That was a shake-handed, great sign of respect between Jay Bristol and Pac. But, you know, this is their
02:18third match. And Pac and Roderick Strong were the dark horses.
02:21We found out, we thought at first, that they just came together at a very late stage and managed to
02:29win an impressive victory last night over Dragon and Richard.
02:32But instead we found out that they were, that they had time to talk things over. That Pac actually flew
02:37to Tampa a few days early.
02:39And Roderick Strong, he just talked strategy.
02:41Work on running, exchanged by Pac and Jay Briscoe.
02:45Jay Briscoe nearly decapitates Pac with that hard back elbow shot.
02:49But Pac and Roderick Strong discussed some strategy and prepared for every single team in this tournament.
02:55That's how much that winning this tournament meant to both men.
02:59And, you know, because they're on a similar mindset, because they're on a similar wavelength, it is, you know, I
03:04mean, it's probably why they have had such great luck in this tournament
03:09and are now in the final round match against the Briscoe brothers, a team that have been tagged with each
03:16other in one form or another for 20-some years.
03:19That's right.
03:20That's right.
03:20And, uh, referee Aaron, it's on, uh, assigned to this most important contest probably, uh, at least of this year
03:28so far,
03:29the, the BWD tag team titles on the line.
03:33And Roderick Strong taking it, uh, to Mark Briscoe.
03:36And, oh, kitchen sink right in the, uh, the knee right to the stomach.
03:40Kitchen sink in the bread basket.
03:42That's great.
03:42Yeah.
03:43You know, you know, you don't put the bread in the...
03:47But now Jay Briscoe tags in as his brother Mark brought him over to the corner.
03:52And that's the type of tag team wrestling we've come to expect from the Briscoe brothers.

03:56Oh, now Roderick Strong just stomping the foot of Jay Briscoe.
04:00Very unorthodox attack, but, uh, was effective at least momentarily.
04:04But now Jay Briscoe keeping the pressure on Roderick Strong.
04:07Roderick Strong sent him to the rope, drops it down.
04:09That's Jay Briscoe.
04:10Slop kick takes down Roderick.
04:12And Jay Briscoe is not showing, uh, not showing any signs of, uh, of being tired for having wrestled, uh,
04:20this being his third match in two days.
04:22Absolutely.
04:23You know, uh, you know, winning the titles, uh, is one thing.
04:26And defending them, uh, is another thing.
04:29But, uh, just to have all these matches just to win the title.
04:32Usually, you have a title match, you know, just one match.
04:35Give some time to rest.
04:36Right.
04:37To recuperate after the drop to hold.
04:39Strung Roderick Strong on the middle rope.
04:41And then Mark Briscoe just, uh, just in, just in the exact same mind frame as his brother.
04:48Drop kick Roderick Strong in the head as he was strung on the middle rope.
04:51And Hassan telling Mark Briscoe to break up the choke hold.
04:54Mark Briscoe looking at Aaron Hassan like he was speaking Japanese.
04:57I'm not sure Mark knows that that's illegal.
04:59But, uh, that's okay.
05:00All right.
05:01And, uh, now, oh, just punishing Roderick Strong in the corner.
05:07Uh, Roderick Strong being whipped in.
05:09Uh, he goes to the corner.
05:11Oh, Briscoe.
05:11Big splash.
05:12And now throw him in.
05:13And this is where the Briscos are so.
05:16This is where they shine.
05:17That's right.
05:17Keeping that, cutting that ring in half.
05:19Uh, and that is what they're going to have to do.
05:21Uh, oh, here's that football.
05:24That flying shoulder tackle.
05:25Both men, just like, uh, like two, two linebackers demolishing a receiver.
05:31Uh, and they, they just, they just turn Roderick Strong inside out.
05:34And now, in the stretch club, Roderick Strong is just being cranked.
05:38His, his torso is, is facing one way.
05:41And his shoulders are facing a completely different direction.
05:45And now Roderick Strong, though, with those short knees to the head of Jay Briscoe, breaks
05:48out of it.
05:49And is, uh, he's just trying to escape.
05:52The jawbreaker crushes the chin of Jay Briscoe.
05:55And now Pac tagged into the ring.
05:56And now Roderick Strong and Pac going through some tag team wrestling of their own.
06:01As, uh, Jay Briscoe goes over the top.
06:04Back elbow to Pac.
06:05Drop kick to, to Roderick Strong.
06:07And now Pac dumped over the top.
06:10But lands on his feet.
06:11And catches Jay Briscoe with a beautifully, beautifully executed drop salt.
06:16Only gets a two count, though.
06:19I'm almost thinking that Pac could have, like, went to his feet after that drop salt.
06:23Very nearly.
06:24It's so high up there.
06:25One, two, two count only on that lateral press.
06:28And, uh, drops a knee.
06:30Now, look, I noticed something about Pac ever since he's been, uh, in PWG.
06:35He's gotten so much more aggressive.
06:38Uh, and that is not really known for high flyers.
06:41They're, uh, usually high flyers have, you know, they have a...
06:44They're opportunistic.
06:45Right.
06:45And they try to, you know, try to build to what their strengths are.
06:49But Pac is a very accomplished wrestler.
06:52And, and, uh, obviously, oh my God.
06:54With Roderick Strong, uh, developing a, uh, a little bit of a, more of an aggressive streak.
06:58But he's also dangerous.
06:59That could be the influence of Roderick Strong.
07:01And that's, you know, just goes to show you what happens when, when the two men team together,
07:05they, they, they rub off on one another.
07:06And maybe Roderick Strong just, just laid it out to Pac.
07:09They said, hey, if we're going to team together, you have to, you know, you have to stuff up your
07:12game.
07:13You have to show more aggression here.
07:15And especially in a tournament situation like this.
07:17You know, I mean, this, uh, even last year in the, in the, in the Battle of Los Angeles 2006,
07:23we saw Jack Evans, he, he brought the fight directly to Claudio Casagnole in the first round matchup.
07:31And, um, you know, I mean, they, they were some, uh, Jack Evans not really known for his strikes.
07:37They, they weren't particularly good looking or effective strikes.
07:41But he still stepped up the aggression and it still threw off Claudio Casagnole's game plan enough
07:46that Jack Evans was able to advance past the first round in that, in that tournament.
07:50And so, I mean, that just goes to show you what, just, uh, standing, uh, standing Sky Twister
07:56landing completely on the head of Jay Briscoe did Pac.
08:01But, uh, you know, I mean, that just goes to show you what a tournament can do for somebody
08:05and how, how it changes the way they wrestle.
08:07And, uh, it just completely alters, uh, alters, you know, their character.
08:12That's right, that's right.
08:13And, uh, you know, you were saying how, like, uh, maybe Locke also could rub out, uh, uh, rub off
08:19on, uh, uh, Roderick Strong.
08:21I, I somehow doubt that we'll see Roderick Strong being, doing double backflip.
08:25I want to see a Roderick Strong, uh, Sky Twister.
08:28Well, I think that, that may be the first and last Sky Twister for Roderick Strong.
08:33I don't think he needs to look sharp like that.
08:35And just the aggressive sound that he is playing.
08:38Now, packed elbow by Jay Briscoe, catching Roderick off guard.
08:41Hooks him in for the, no, not the slingy DDT.
08:44The flipping neckbreaker, just driving Roderick Strong's, the, the back of his, his spinal cord
08:51into the shoulder of Jay Briscoe.
08:53Very effective maneuver right there.
08:55And I'm going to take this opportunity to give a plug to, uh, to my new favorite here.

09:18top of the head of, uh, of Pac.
09:21Just, like, Mark Briscoe channeling the spirit of Giant Baba.
09:25But, uh, but, uh, if, if anybody from the Carl Strauss Brewery is listening, I, I would
09:29like, uh, like a case of it, or perhaps a pallet delivered to my doorstep.

09:58Two count only at Aaron Hassan telling Pac it's only a two count, but I thought that
10:03that was it for Mark Briscoe as Pac and Roderick Strong adapting the, the Roderick Strong and
10:09Jack Evans teamwork to, to be very effective for themselves.
10:13But two count only as Mark Briscoe muscles up Pac and just power bombs him on the top turnbuckle.
10:21And Jay Briscoe booting, uh, Roderick Strong off the ring apron.
10:24Oh my God, this is going to be it!
10:25And now here we see it!
10:26The Doomsday Device!
10:27Whoa!
10:28Pac inside out!
10:30And this has got to be it!
10:32Cover and hook the leg!
10:33One, two, but Roderick Strong right there to break things up and keep his team in the mix
10:38here.
10:38Wow!
10:40And just that close to the Briscoes holding the, the tag team goal and now, uh, slowing
10:45down the action.
10:46The leg scissors, the head on Pac trying to cut off the blood flow to his brain almost
10:51like a triangle leg scissors.
10:53You see he has that one arm captured in there.
10:55And, uh, this, this is exactly what the Briscoes need to do if they hope to, to negate the,
11:01the aerial assault of Pac.
11:03I mean he's known as the man that Gregory forgot for a reason and the Briscoes recognize
11:08that and they're doing everything in their power right here to cut that off, to, to prevent
11:13Pac.
11:13And now Roderick Strong enters the ring at exactly the wrong time as the Briscoes were
11:18using a leverage based maneuver there to, to just really cut off the blood flow to the
11:24brain of Pac.
11:24That was, uh, you know, that is the experience of the Hallmark.
11:28That's right.
11:29Tag Team Wrestling right there.
11:31Just, uh, and, and, you know, that is the timing also.
11:35Uh, Roderick Strong, uh, you know, could have done that to Pac's advantage but actually
11:38it was a disadvantage at that point.
11:40And look at that.
11:41Just, uh-oh.
11:43Oh!
11:43Whoa!
11:44Wow!
11:45Pac Barry nearly thrown out of the ring, this go.
11:49Oh my God.
11:50I thought he wasn't going to get over on that one.
11:52I was just laying head first but actually able to tuck right there and, uh.
11:57Last second.
11:58Oh my goodness.
11:59But, I mean, not ceremoniously did he, he didn't land that ceremoniously, I should say.
12:04Oh, look at this.
12:04The straight jacket camel clutch.
12:06Oh, goodness.
12:07Pac, you can see in a world of hurt there as Jay Briscoe keeping his eye on Roderick Strong,
12:13making sure that Roderick is not going to enter the ring to break up this submission maneuver.
12:17And Pac not ready to give up, but there we see Roderick Strong coming in, breaking it out.
12:22And keeping his team in a match just for a few minutes longer.
12:26Wow.
12:27And, uh, the Briscos really have taken out.
12:31Oh, but Pac's still trying to fight back.
12:33Shots to the midsection, but Jay Briscoe cuts him off.
12:35Tags in brother Mark.
12:36And now Mark Briscoe is coming up to the top rope.
12:41The backbreaker almost like a modified Cuban Missile Crisis, but instead it's the Southern
12:47Delaware Smash as they, uh, just go to work on Pac.
12:52And now, uh, with the hook to the leg only getting a two count because Roderick Strong came in to
12:57break up.
12:58And, uh, the Briscos are, uh, it actually looks like they're, uh, not that they're not serious about winning the
13:04technique he does,
13:05but I think they're just playing with Pac at this point, uh, just kind of batting him around.
13:10I don't like how, how, uh, uh, a lion will just play with his prey before he puts it out
13:16of his misery.
13:17That seems to be exactly what the Briscos are doing to Pac right now.
13:21They're just, uh, you know what I think they're trying to do?
13:24They're trying to punish Pac so bad that they're almost like banking Pac so that even though they can probably
13:30put him away right now,
13:31so they want, they want to make him just a non-factor in this match.
13:36Oh my God, wow!

13:42Don't even try to describe it because whatever you say won't do it justice.
13:46Yeah, absolutely, that was unbelievable!
13:50Not only does he defy gravity, he defies physics
13:53and he defies just human nature.
13:57The way he flies through the air, it is incredible in the truest sense of the word.
14:04I mean, it is not credible the way Pac is so, so gifted.

17:59Team Championships.

18:04And so there must be a team that comes away with the titles in this match.

19:10But Roderick Strong ducked out of the way.

19:13And then hit a jumping kick to the chin of Mark Briscoe.

19:19And now Jay Briscoe back in there.
19:22Or perhaps Jay Briscoe is a league fan.
19:24I'm not sure.
19:25But right now, these two men just laying into one another.

19:30And now Roderick Strong goes for the.
19:32Oh, Roderick Strong went for the clothesline.
19:35But instead, Mark Briscoe caught him in the Stone Cold Stunner Death Valley bomb.

19:40And he's got him in position for this.
19:43This could be the risky business.
19:44This is what they beat the Man of Pipples with earlier in the evening.

19:52And Roderick Strong is in prime position for it.

20:01But Pac cuts off Jay Briscoe from the outside.
20:04And now Roderick Strong has got him up.
20:07The Lung Blower just knocked the win out of Mark Briscoe now.

20:15Brings him down into an ace crusher.
20:18Oh, my God.

20:25Now he gets the foot on the ropes.

20:28Pac goes up to the top.
20:30Cancel tornado to the outside.
20:33Roderick Strong's got Mark Briscoe in the stronghold.
20:36He's got him in the stronghold.
20:37And he taps out.
20:38We have new champions.
20:40Roderick Strong and Pac are the new PWG World Tag Team Champions.
20:48An unbelievable road to victory.
20:51But nonetheless, they have come away with it.
20:53And they are the brand new champions.
