00:00:26Master!
00:00:30You've learnt all there is to learn from me.
00:00:32The world beyond this inferno has nothing left that can challenge your magic.
00:00:37It's time for you to go.
00:00:44Master! Please don't send me away!
00:00:47I'll be good. I'll listen to everything you say.

00:01:11My little boy. My pumpkin. Where are you?

00:32:06So, Mom never abandoned me. She never hated me. She's been searching for me all this time. She's always loved
00:32:15me.
00:32:17Then let me crush that last bit of hope for you. After that, you're coming with me.
00:32:38Don't touch my mom!
00:32:45Mom!
00:32:48You're not a winster. This has nothing to do with you. Go! Go find your real mother!
00:32:54I'm not leaving. Elena, you're my mom. I'm finally home.
00:33:04I used to think my mom threw me away because she didn't want me.
00:33:08But now I know. You've been waiting for me this whole time.
00:33:12When my master found me in the abyss, I was already wearing it.
00:33:16The pendant! You! You are my pumpkin! I didn't even recognize you! I even tried to drive you away!
00:33:24Cain! My pumpkin! I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!
00:33:32Don't cry, Mom. I'm back now. I'll protect you.
00:33:39Enough with the touching family reunion. Elena, I'll cripple you right now!
00:33:46Cain! Cain! Cain! Run!
00:33:53Die!
00:34:12And a little brat like you thinks you can take me on.
00:34:17Cain! Let me see. Are you hurt anywhere?
00:34:20Don't worry, Mom. I'm really strong now.
00:34:25From now on, I'll protect you. Nobody gets to hurt you ever again.
00:34:31C'mon!
00:34:36Elena! Grandma! Take Mom somewhere safe and let her rest. Leave this to me.
00:34:41Cain!
00:34:42Nick...
00:34:45Nephew!
00:34:47The whole Winston family is counting on you now.
00:34:55Seven years ago you got lucky and crawled out of the ABIBUS alive.
00:35:00But today? Today's your funeral day.
00:35:03and my wedding day with your mother.
00:35:06You hurt my mom!
00:35:12Wrath of the Shadows!
00:35:33What the hell is this? Molten Inferno?
00:35:37And those are phoenixes and hellhounds?
00:35:41Now, you pay for it!
00:36:12Impossible! This is impossible!
00:36:15How could a little drab like you have power like this?
00:36:20You hurt my mom, and I'm gonna smash you into paste!
00:36:26Don't come any closer! I was wrong!
00:36:29I've got ten gold mines, more high-grade mana crystals than you can count!
00:36:34Take it all! Just let me live!
00:36:37Hmph. Keep your junk. You can repent in the sky.
00:36:47That's my nephew! Now that's what I'm talking about!
00:36:51Cain, my baby.
00:36:55Mom!
00:37:02You're not hurt, are you?
00:37:06Mom! I beat all the bad guys!
00:37:11Mom!
00:37:13Mom!
00:37:14Mom!
00:37:27That damn brat!
00:37:29He summoned a phoenix and the Molten Inferno, and turned me into this!
00:37:37I swear I'll make him pay for this!
00:37:50A phoenix and the Molten Inferno. Those are Silas's techniques.
00:37:55Tell me exactly what happened!
00:38:02W-who are you?
00:38:04You're asking who I am?
00:38:09The dark magic you use came from me!
00:38:13You? You're the great dark mage Audric?
00:38:16My lord, please help me! I want revenge!
00:38:20I want that brat and the entire Winster family crushed to pieces!
00:38:26Good. Offer me your soul and let my spirit take your body. In return, I'll grant you the purest dark
00:38:37magic in existence. Power strong enough to kill gods.
00:39:05Pumkin. Where are you?
00:39:09Mom, you're awake!
00:39:14Cain, my dear.
00:39:17Mom's never letting you go again.
00:39:22Mom, don't cry.
00:39:24From now on, I'll protect you forever.
00:39:29After all these years, our family's finally together again.
00:39:34From now on, we stay together no matter what.
00:39:37That's right.
00:39:39No one in the Winston family gets left behind.
00:39:42This is awesome.
00:39:44I've got the strongest nephew ever.
00:39:55Elena!
00:39:58Elena!
00:39:59You seriously need to do something about your son!
00:40:05Whoa!
00:40:07That little troublemaker!
00:40:09Grandpa, I was just trying to make your cup sing, and I gave Uncle a brand new hairstyle.
00:40:15Pretty cool, right?
00:40:18Cain, come here.
00:40:19Be nice to your elders.
00:40:26Oh, it's fine.
00:40:28Cain just tried to help me bake bread.
00:40:29The fire got a tiny bit out of hand.
00:40:32Kids are supposed to be energetic.
00:40:40Oh, dear.
00:40:56Cain seriously needs an outlet.
00:40:59The Magic Academy entrance test is in a few days.
00:41:03Elena, take Cain with you and let him try.
00:41:06Magic Academy?
00:41:08What's that?
00:41:08It's the greatest magic school on the continent.
00:41:11They only accept a handful of students every ten years.
00:41:13Getting in is a huge honour.
00:41:16The Winster family hasn't had anyone make it in for years.
00:41:19With Cain's talent, he should absolutely give it a shot.
00:41:24Sadly, I didn't get the good genes.
00:41:26Each family only gets two spots, so Cain can take mine this year.
00:41:29But Cain's still so young.
00:41:30What if he can't adjust?
00:41:33Besides, I'm pretty sure he's already stronger than half the teachers there.
00:41:37Mum, is it fun there?
00:41:38I've never been to a school before.
00:41:40I want to go.
00:41:41Oh!
00:41:43Fine, I will take you.
00:42:03Whoa, look at her.
00:42:05She's gorgeous.
00:42:08Pretty doesn't mean much.
00:42:10That's Elena from the Winster family.
00:42:12Their family's been falling apart for years.
00:42:14Looks are all she's got left.
00:42:41Oh, isn't this Elena?
00:42:44The Winster family hasn't produced a single academy student in decades.
00:42:49A washed-up family like yours actually showed up for the entrance test?
00:43:00Ten years ago, you threw your life away marrying some blacksmith.
00:43:04You embarrassed every noble family on the continent.
00:43:07And you still think you belong here?
00:43:11Auntie, why do you talk so mean?
00:43:14Is it because you're too old and your teeth are falling out?
00:43:20You little brat.
00:43:22Who are you calling, Auntie?
00:43:23I'm going to rip your mouth off!
00:43:27Don't you dare touch my son.
00:43:30Your son?
00:43:31That bastard you had with the blacksmith?
00:43:33He died seven years ago!
00:43:35Don't you dare talk about my son like that.
00:43:40That's enough, Cecilia.
00:43:44Don't lower yourself arguing with trash like them.
00:43:47Once the test starts, people like they will be thrown out soon enough.
00:43:51My brother's right.
00:43:53I can't wait to watch you get humiliated.
00:44:02Mom, I'm going to get first place.
00:44:05I won't lose to those two bad guys.
00:44:10Of course, Mom believes in you.
00:44:23Elena, and that little bastard.
00:44:27Just you wait.
00:44:30Very soon, I'll make both of you pay.
00:44:43This year's entrance exam will consist of three rounds.
00:44:46Only the top three overall will earn admission to the Academy.
00:44:50Round one.
00:44:52The summoning trial.
00:44:53This round will test your magical talent.
00:45:09Candidates will enter the Spirit Fring one at a time.
00:45:13The formation will manifest a magical vision based on the strength and purity of your mana.
00:45:19We're doomed.
00:45:20Lord Pete and Lady Cecilia are definitely taking two of the three spots.
00:45:23Then we fight for the last one.
00:45:24If we can get into the Academy and make connections with the nobles, it'll all be worth it.
00:45:29Mom, look.
00:45:31The water's glowing.
00:45:33Do you think there are fishies in there?
00:45:35Wow, what a country brumpin.
00:45:37A blacksmith's kid really is clueless about everything.
00:45:40The Winster family must really be desperate if they're dragging a little bastard like this here.
00:45:46He's embarrassing the whole Academy.
00:45:49Seriously, what could a brat like him possibly know about magic?
00:45:54Go home and play in the dirt!
00:45:58You?
00:46:00Mom, just ignore them.
00:46:02I'll show them how awesome I am soon enough!
00:46:13The test begins!
00:46:25Mana collapsed.
00:46:28Disqualified.
00:46:29Next!
00:46:35Inferior.
00:46:38Inferior.
00:46:41Inferior.
00:46:47Inferior.
00:47:05Intermediate.
00:47:08Wow, a giant puppy.
00:47:12Mom, I want to try the shiny water too.
00:47:17Next, Cecilia Montague.
00:47:23A magic wolf got you this excited?
00:47:26Wow, country bumpers really are easy to impress.
00:47:30Keep your eyes open this time.
00:47:32Try not to faint from shock later.
00:47:49Deep sea shark, superior tier talent.
00:47:55No wonder she's Cecilia, superior tier talent.
00:47:59That's insane.
00:48:00See that?
00:48:03That's what real noble talent looks like.
00:48:09Trash like you wouldn't even qualify to carry my shoes.
00:48:13Your big fish is so ugly.
00:48:17My mom could summon something way prettier and way stronger.
00:48:22You filthy little brat!
00:48:29Don't you dare scare my son.
00:48:32Next, Elena Winstel.
00:48:35Go, Mom.
00:48:36You're way better than that ugly witch.
00:48:41Keep talking big, Elena.
00:48:46Let's see what kind of pathetic little trick a blacksmith's wife can pull out.
00:48:53If I awaken superior tier talent too, you owe my son an apology for everything you said.
00:49:00You can insult me all you want, but you do not get to insult my child.
00:49:09What?
00:49:10You expect me to apologize to some little brat?
00:49:15What's wrong? Afraid you'll lose?
00:49:18Afraid of you?
00:49:19Please.
00:49:20Fine, I'll take that bet.
00:49:22Can't wait to watch you embarrass yourself.
00:49:25Mom's going to win this.
00:49:41Impossible.
00:49:42After losing her child, her magic should have stagnated years ago.
00:49:46How is she still this powerful?
00:49:50Ever since Cain came back, my power's been returning.
00:49:54Stronger than ever.
00:49:56Cecilia, never underestimate a mother protecting her child.
00:50:19Saint Wing Golden Lion, superior tier talent.
00:50:28You lost.
00:50:30Apologize to my son.
00:50:33Why should I?
00:50:35You just got lucky.
00:50:36We're both superior teat, so stop acting so smug.
00:50:39If you really want an apology, then prove you're better than me.
00:50:43Wow, ugly lady.
00:50:45You really don't keep your promises.
00:50:48Shut your mouth, you brat!
00:50:55Next, Pete Montemi.
00:50:57The Winster family's been washed up for years.
00:51:00One superior teat result and you're already celebrating?
00:51:04Pathetic.
00:51:05Let me show you what real talent looks like.
00:51:09One, two, three.
00:51:10First, Pete Montemi.
00:51:16First, Pete.
00:51:17We have a few.
00:51:24Just get scared.
00:51:26I'm sorry.
00:51:29I'm sorry.
00:51:33You're so sorry.
00:51:35You're so sorry.
00:51:37I'm sorry.
00:51:37Fallen demon.
00:51:39Supreme tier talent.
00:51:42See that?
00:51:44That's the power of the Montanerge family.
00:51:47What makes you think trash like you could ever compare to us?
00:51:51Huh? Something this tiny?
00:51:53I used to punch monsters like that flat when I was little.
00:51:56Kid's talking crazy.
00:51:58Did he hit his head or something?
00:52:02I used to punch monsters like that flat when I was little.
00:52:07Seriously, do you even hear yourself?
00:52:10Your imagination's so wild you can't tell dreams from reality anymore.
00:52:15Next, Kane Winster.
00:52:17Your turn, little bastard.
00:52:20Elena, why don't you drag your useless son home now
00:52:23before he embarrasses himself in front of everyone?
00:52:28Just wait! I'm gonna shock all of you!
00:52:32Go on, my pumpkin.
00:52:34Mum knows you're amazing.
00:52:38Still putting on an act?
00:52:40Let's see what a little kid like you can actually summon.
00:52:53Attention-seeking clown.
00:52:56Come on!
00:53:02Oh!
00:53:07Oh!
00:53:41This power has already excited the limits of the formation.
00:53:46I can't even assign it a rank.
00:53:49But one thing's certain.
00:53:52Cain is the most gifted child I've seen in decades.
00:53:57The Winster family has produced a monster beyond supreme flea talent.
00:54:08Cicillia, do you have anything you'd like to say to my son now?
00:54:11No way! He's just a kid. There's no way he could have talent like that.
00:54:15You cheated, Elena. You tampered with Spirit Spring.
00:54:19Miss Montany, are you questioning the Spirit Spring or my judgment?
00:54:26Dicillia, enough.
00:54:29Is this how the Montereys do business?
00:54:32Going back on your word?
00:54:36Sorry.
00:54:38It's okay.
00:54:42It was only a talent test.
00:54:44Raw talent doesn't mean true strength.
00:54:46There are still more rounds ahead.
00:54:48A blacksmith's son will never beat the Montrag family.
00:55:16Round one is officially over.
00:55:18Thirty-six have been eliminated.
00:55:22Seventeen will advance to round two.
00:55:26Very few people have ever managed to pull out this ancient staff.
00:55:30This round tests raw magical power alone.
00:55:33The higher you pull it, the stronger your magic is.
00:55:37The competition starts now.
00:55:40First one.
00:55:48Next!
00:55:56Next!
00:56:00It's too heavy! I can't even move it!
00:56:10See? No tricks this time.
00:56:12This round is all about real magical power.
00:56:16My master said my magic is super, super strong.
00:56:19I bet I can pull it out really high.
00:56:24Wow.
00:56:25You really never stop bragging, huh?
00:56:29Next!
00:56:30Cecilia Montangori!
00:56:34Next!
00:56:36Cecilia Montangori!
00:56:54Here we go!
00:56:55You!
00:56:57You!
00:56:58You!
00:56:59You!
00:57:00You!
00:57:00You!
00:57:01You!
00:57:11She pulled it out more than halfway? That's insane!
00:57:20Well, see the difference now?
00:57:24This is what real power looks like.
00:57:34Next, Pete Monteri!
00:57:37Pete, show them the strength of our family.
00:57:40You're definitely pulling that wand all the way out.
00:57:44No way he can do it. He's not even close.
00:57:49Shut up! What do you know, you brat?
00:57:54More.
00:58:04Let's go.
00:58:06Let's go.
00:58:09Let's go.
00:58:52Pete, that was incredible.
00:58:54You were this close.
00:58:55Next year, you'll definitely pull it out.
00:58:58You're the pride of the Montego family.
00:59:00Young Master Pete is unbelievable.
00:59:03He's the closest anyone's gotten to pulling out the ancient wand in years.
00:59:09Next, Elena Winson.
00:59:12Mother, do your best.
00:59:15I know you can pull that one free.
00:59:20Ridiculous.
00:59:21Even my brother failed, yet she dares dream of succeeding.
00:59:26What a joke.
00:59:29You truly do not know your limits.
00:59:59Mother, do your best.
01:00:26No, this is as far as I can go.
01:00:29And here I thought you might actually do something impressive.
01:00:32Look who was talking big.
01:00:34In the end, you couldn't even match my score.
01:00:46Mom is just too exhausted.
01:00:48In a moment, I'll pull this stupid stick out.
01:00:50Stupid stick.
01:00:52What an insolent little brat.
01:00:55You brat, you can barely reach the pedestal.
01:00:57And you think you can draw out the wand?
01:01:01Next!
01:01:03Kane Winster!
01:01:04Kane, ignore them.
01:01:06We only need to focus on ourselves.
01:01:08Even your own mother couldn't pull it off, so don't humiliate yourself trying, kid.
01:01:26Look at him.
01:01:27He truly believes he can do it.
01:01:43He actually pulled it out?
01:01:47It's so light, though.
01:01:49Why was everyone struggling so hard?
01:01:56Impossible!
01:01:57Absolutely impossible!
01:02:00Even my brother could not draw it out.
01:02:03How could a little brat succeed?
01:02:06The pedestal must be broken!
01:02:08Then, could something be wrong with the wand?
01:02:35That's it!
01:03:01He's treating the Ancient One like a toy?
01:03:04Just how powerful is his magic?
01:03:08I don't believe it!
01:03:11Something must be wrong!
01:03:12He's just a low-born bastard!
01:03:22Mom, was I amazing?
01:03:28I had no idea my Kane was this remarkable.
01:03:33You are more impressive than everyone here combined.
01:03:40No one has ever drawn the wand so effortlessly before.
01:03:44Only someone utterly devied of magic or a mage of truly unparalleled power could do such a thing.
01:03:54But he is just a child.
01:03:56He just got lucky!
01:03:57The wand must have malfunctioned!
01:03:59I am strong!
01:04:01It was not luck at all!
01:04:02Messenger, why not proceed directly to the third trial?
01:04:06A mage's true strength is revealed in battle, not party tricks.
01:04:13Young Master Pete speaks the truth!
01:04:27The third trial shall now begin.
01:04:30After the first two rounds, only seven contestants remain.
01:04:34The order of battle will be decided by Divination.
01:04:37The victor of each duel will remain on the stage until only one major stands above the rest.
01:04:42Then whoever goes first is doomed.
01:04:45Fighting one match after another would drain anyone dry.
01:04:50Please, let me draw a later match.
01:04:58First to enter the arena, Cecilia Montangri.
01:05:02So what if I go first?
01:05:04I can still beat every last one of you.
01:05:16We are doomed.
01:05:18If Miss Montangri is first, who could possibly stop her?
01:05:25The duel begins!
01:05:27Peace!
01:05:28Peace!
01:06:02Who's next?
01:06:07Next, Kane Winster.
01:06:11So it is you, little brat.
01:06:13You may have stumbled your way through the first two rounds, but your luck ends here.
01:06:18I will not show mercy.
01:06:20By the time I am done, you will be scrolled on the ground crying for your mother.
01:06:25Go on, pumpkin.
01:06:27Mom, don't worry.
01:06:30I'll knock her down soon.
01:06:45Kid, you still have time to back out.
01:06:49If you are frightened, kneel and beg for mercy.
01:06:53Perhaps I will spare you.
01:06:56You talk too much, and your voice is irritating.
01:07:03Insolent brat!
01:07:05You are caught in death!
01:07:29Impossible!
01:07:30How could I lose to a child?
01:07:31I was not ready.
01:07:32We fight again!
01:07:34Cecilia Montague is defeated.
01:07:37Kane Winster advances.
01:07:40Cecilia, you had already fought several matches in a row.
01:07:43Your magic was drained.
01:07:44That is the only reason he won.
01:07:47Brother, you must make him pay for this.
01:07:50Rest easy.
01:07:56I will show him what true power looks like.
01:07:59So this is the Montago family way.
01:08:02Lose with grace?
01:08:04No.
01:08:06You would rather cling to excuses.
01:08:08You will soon learn the true strength of the Montague family.
01:08:12Next challenger.
01:08:14Pete Montague.
01:08:15Tegg.
01:08:32Brother, you must make that brat suffer.
01:08:37Kane, be careful.
01:08:39Do not hurt him too badly.
01:08:42Still pretending to be calm?
01:08:44Once your precious son is beaten flat, we shall see if you can still speak so confidently.
01:08:51Then watch closely.
01:08:53You only defeated Cecilia.
01:08:58Because her magic had already been depleted from the earlier matches.
01:09:08But I will show you no such mercy.
01:09:12I will strike with my full strength.
01:09:15Hey, old man.
01:09:16What are you talking about?
01:09:18You should be the careful one.
01:09:20My magic is very, very strong.
01:09:25I shall end you here and now.
01:09:42Impossible.
01:09:43Down you go.
01:10:02You must have used some forbidden spell.
01:10:06There is no way you could defeat my brother.
01:10:11Enough!
01:10:12Pete!
01:10:14Stop embarrassing yourself.
01:10:17That child's magic is unfathomable.
01:10:21Terrifyingly so.
01:10:22We are nowhere near his level.
01:10:25The final challenger.
01:10:27Elena Winster.
01:10:35Mom!
01:10:36Kane, do not hold back against me either.
01:10:40I would very much like a proper match with my pumpkin.
01:10:43Okay.
01:11:03The three trials have now concluded.
01:11:06Those granted admission are...
01:11:08Kane Winster.
01:11:10Kane Winster.
01:11:11Pete Montangry.
01:11:12And Elena Winster.
01:11:15On the day of enrolment,
01:11:18His Majesty the King will personally grant the three of you an audience.
01:11:24Congratulations.
01:11:41I cannot accept this.
01:11:43Why does Elena always end up above me?
01:11:46That place should have been mine.
01:11:49Brother, think of something.
01:11:51We cannot just let them walk away.
01:11:53And what exactly are we supposed to do?
01:11:56That child's talent is monstrous.
01:12:00Even if the entire Montengi family joined forces,
01:12:03we would stand no chance against him.
01:12:06Are we truly supposed to endure this humili...
01:12:21If you wish to deal with that mother and son...
01:12:27Perhaps we should have a conversation.
01:12:31Who are you?
01:12:33How did you get onto our airship?
01:12:35Who I am is not important.
01:12:37What matters is that we share a common enemy.
01:12:41The mother and son of the Winston family.
01:12:52If you cooperate,
01:12:54I will deal with the little monster Kane myself.
01:12:59She is yours to handle.
01:13:01But she must be kept alive and delivered to me.
01:13:06Once they are removed, Miss Montaune,
01:13:10you will naturally take their place.
01:13:15And enter the Magic Academy without any obstruction.
01:13:20Cecilia, don't act rashly.
01:13:22This man's dark magic is dangerous.
01:13:24Then can you deal with them?
01:13:31Fine.
01:13:31I agree.
01:13:39This is the Shadow Heartstone.
01:13:41It does not harm the body directly.
01:13:44It corrupts the life force itself.
01:13:46Even Kane will not sense it coming.
01:13:50Find an opportunity.
01:13:52And embed it into his body.
01:13:56After that,
01:13:58leave everything to me.
01:14:04Mom,
01:14:05does that mean I get to go to the Academy with you
01:14:08every day from now on?
01:14:10Yes.
01:14:13From now on,
01:14:15I will always be with you.
01:14:19There are so many things I've never seen before.
01:14:22My custard.
01:14:25I love it here.
01:14:36Cecilia.
01:14:39Maybe we should just let this go.
01:14:42Let it go?
01:14:44I will not watch my admission spot be taken away.
01:14:55Elena.
01:14:56Die.
01:14:58Die.
01:15:12Something feels strange.
01:15:17Cecilia.
01:15:18You actually dared to ambush us.
01:15:26We'll see about that.
01:15:28Elena.
01:15:29Cecilia.
01:15:37Pumpkin.
01:15:39Are you all right?
01:15:42Are you hurt?
01:15:44I'm fine, Mom.
01:15:46Master said,
01:15:47I'm the strongest major in the world.
01:15:50Those bad guys can't hurt me.
01:15:55As long as you're all right.
01:16:01Let's go home.
01:16:07Grandma.
01:16:10Grandma.
01:16:12Mom and I both passed the test.
01:16:14We're going to the Magic Academy.
01:16:25We're going to the Magic Academy.
01:16:31Finally.
01:16:33To be received by the King himself.
01:16:37After all these years.
01:16:43The Winston family will finally rise again.
01:16:46I knew it!
01:16:49With Cain and Elena.
01:16:50Our family is going straight back to the top.
01:16:53You should have seen him today.
01:16:57Cain was the brightest one there.
01:16:59Far beyond those so-called geniuses.
01:17:02Pete and Cecilia.
01:17:06I'm not that amazing.
01:17:08They were just too weak.
01:17:09They couldn't even take one of my moves.
01:17:25Pumpkin.
01:17:27You must be tired after dealing with those bad guys today.
01:17:30It's late.
01:17:31Time to head to bed.
01:17:33Okay.
01:17:41You must be tired after dealing with those bad guys.
01:17:45Cain!
01:17:48Cain!
01:17:49Cain!
01:17:51No!
01:18:04It's you?
01:18:07Where did you take my child?
01:18:11Elena.
01:18:13You should be worrying about yourself right now.
01:18:17Without that little brat protecting you,
01:18:20you stand no chance against us.
01:18:26If I cripple you here tonight,
01:18:29you'll never make it to the Academy.
01:18:31Cecilia will naturally take your place.
01:18:42Give me back my child!
01:18:45Die!
01:18:47Die!
01:19:01You little bastard, weren't you so confident before?
