00:16because they were busy getting drunk

00:21not only because they're red ass

00:26because over the last couple
00:28of months they have been in a lot of trouble
00:30with the hottest team
00:32in America right now
00:34and I just have to beat
00:35half of that team and the other half
00:38is coming out right now
00:50and now a match
00:52originally scheduled to be the
00:53PWG World Tag Team Champions of
00:55Rock and Roderick Strong
00:57taking on the Brisco Brothers
00:58but the Brisco Brothers of course
01:00could not make it tonight
01:01and so filling their role
01:03is the team that has been
01:05beating the Brisco Brothers
01:07up and down the East Coast
01:08in recent months
01:09is the team of Mr. Wrestling Kevin
01:11Steen and El Generico
01:12El Generico and Steen of course
01:14bitter rivals here at PWG
01:16and I mean all over the world
01:18wrestling each other on numerous
01:20numerous occasions
01:21but now putting all of that aside
01:24for the greater good as it were
01:26and they are here to battle it out
01:29for the PWG World Tag Team titles
01:30and this could be
01:31the second time in El Generico
01:35PWG World Championship reign
01:37that he also holds the
01:38PWG World Tag Team titles
01:40of course the last time he was
01:42World Tag Team Champions with Quicksilver
01:44and then he went on to defeat
01:46even Tornado for the PWG World Championship
01:48and so he held both belts simultaneously
01:51that of course was until Quicksilver
01:54was injured
01:56and he had to take a high age from wrestling
01:59due to some serious concussion problems
02:02that led to the DDT4 Tag Team Title Tournament
02:06which happened in May of this year
02:08which we saw crown Roderick Strong and Pac
02:11the man that Gravity forgot
02:13as the new PWG World Tag Team Champions
02:16and for the past couple months
02:17Pac and Roderick Strong
02:18have been PWG World Tag Team Champions
02:21but now El Generico
02:23has the opportunity to capture
02:25and to recapture
02:26the World Tag Team titles here
02:27against Roderick Strong and Pac
02:29with Kevin Steen at this point
02:31That's right and Roderick Strong, El Generico
02:34starting out
02:36PWG World Champion El Generico
02:40and that is just
02:42Let me ask
02:44Can Kevin Steen and El Generico
02:47co-exist in this match
02:49I mean obviously they faced each other
02:51as recently as DDT4
02:54or no as recent as last month
02:56but they had a single match as DDT4
02:58they had the four way match for the PWG World Championship
03:01and now here they are teaming together
03:05Can these two co-exist to face the PWG World Tag Team Champions
03:09which by all accounts have surprised everybody
03:11with their ability to work together as a team
03:13Absolutely
03:14I honestly think that at this point
03:17and now if you would have asked me this two years ago
03:20could they co-exist when they first came in
03:22after a singles encounter
03:24their field was not at the point
03:27where it was able to work cohesively
03:31but I think at this point
03:32both men have put their differences aside
03:35to go for one ultimate prize
03:37which is the PWG Tag Team title
03:39so I would have to say yes
03:41but if this were, like I said, two years ago
03:44the situation would have been very much different
03:47and it just goes to show how both men
03:49and I'm not only mature as individuals
03:51but as professional wrestlers
03:52and how much the PWG World Tag Team Champions
03:54would mean to each of these men
03:56to all four men in this ring actually
03:57but it goes a lot to say that the Brisco Brothers
04:03were the uniting factor in bringing El Generico
04:06and Kevin Steen together in Ring of Modern actually
04:11and that's where they first started teaming up
04:15to take on the Brisco Brothers
04:16and they're not a regular tag team there
04:20they just joined forces to battle
04:22with the Brisco Brothers essentially
04:23the Brisco Brothers who on numerous occasions
04:25have disrespected not only El Generico
04:27but also Kevin Steen
04:29so they are just joining forces uniting
04:32to work together against the Brisco Brothers
04:34but I think because the Briscos aren't here tonight
04:37they've seen that they've worked effectively together
04:39against the Briscos
04:40so why not try to work effectively against a team
04:43that the Briscos weren't able to beat
04:45in the front of the line
04:46and you can foreclose
04:47you know unfortunately whatever the Briscos
04:51have not been able to attend
04:54their personal demons
04:55yes they've been able to attend PWG events
04:58that creates opportunities for others
05:00and usually the case is that someone steps up
05:03and it couldn't be Kevin Steen
05:06to this match and for the first time
05:08they've seen him have tag team gold on his resume

05:32and just stopped Pac in the chest
05:34driving not only Pac's chest
05:35but the back of his head hard into the canvas

05:39has the man that Grabby forgot Pac
05:41in the corner
05:43and he's just laying the boots into Pac's chest
05:45and then Steen flutters Pac in
05:47and Piller Post Steen charges in
05:48Pac gets his boot up
05:49Pac flips out of the corner
05:51rolls underneath the clothesline
05:52and Kevin Steen
05:53drops gold holes here
05:54Mr. Wrestling down
05:55tags in Roderick Strong

05:58transfering on Kevin Steen
06:00and now just preventing Steen
06:03from getting back up to his feet
06:04Kevin Steen was trying to get up to a vertical base
06:06but Roderick Strong came in with that front chancer

06:10it just took all the air out of Kevin Steen's lungs
06:13and just drove him back down to the mat

06:16playing much the cooler in this match

06:29it's a very cohesive tag team wrestler

06:49the fans are very well aware
06:52the encounters between Steen
06:54and Generico
06:55and the Brisco's have been
06:56just out of the walls
06:57where this match
06:58and no attack to the base
06:59and so I'm very surprised to see

07:04working together well
07:05as a well executed tag team
07:07instead of
07:08Roderick Strong
07:09a step ahead of El Generico
07:10there breaking his back
07:12now with the lateral thrust
07:14only getting a two count
07:15but you know instead of
07:16instead of just having to
07:17watch each other's backs
07:18and the Brisco brothers
07:20they are effectively working together
07:22at least up until
07:23a couple seconds ago
07:24were effectively working together
07:25as a tag team
07:26in a technical
07:27from a technical standpoint
07:28That's right
07:29and what was
07:31at first
07:32the makeshift team
07:33of Hawk and Roderick Strong
07:34winning the tag team championship
07:37they've become a very
07:39very cohesive team
07:40and you know very worthy
07:42of holding the tag team titles
07:44and they've had some great

07:48when you're a champion
07:50you're going to take on
07:51all comers
07:51and they were not
07:53they were playing on
07:54the Brisco brothers
07:55in a rematch
07:56in the final round

09:37he's known for his

09:41strikes in his match
09:42but not to the effect

09:44or a Rocky or a Merrill
09:45whereas Pac
09:46he does have
09:47tremendous accuracy
09:48with his kicks
09:48with his elbow shots
09:50and so I mean

10:24His high-flying impresses most everyone that sees PWG DVDs and our live shows.
10:30But the fact that the man can actually chain-wrestle with the best of him
10:34is not what you expect from a high-flyer.
10:37And El Generico can say the same thing.
10:40A high-flyer, but also technically very sound.
10:45Even Kevin Steve, for that matter, a technically sound wrestler.
10:49Who's a high-flyer?
10:50Yeah, he's the type of Kevin Steve.
10:51You know, just, El Generico, he's just beating Pac with those double sledges to the top of that head.
10:57Just really taking the punishment out of him.
11:00Looks like a Polish hammer, except the Mexican hammer, I guess.
11:04Which is outside of home people.
11:06More often than not.
11:08But now, El Generico's got Pac set up.
11:10Going for the Arabian moonsault.
11:12The split-legged moonsault.
11:14Hits it.
11:15Finds its mark.
11:16One, two.
11:17But Roderick Strong right there to break things up.
11:19Not actually interfering in the match.
11:20But if you've gotten El Generico's head enough to force him to break it up.
11:25Definitely distracting him here.
11:27Oh, get the mercy of El Generico.
11:29These two men have a long history against one another here at PWG, of course.
11:35Pac's very first night here at PWG.
11:37He faced AJ Styles.
11:38And then went on to face El Generico in his second singles match here at PWG.
11:41Oh, buzzsaw and flipping sent on leg drop right across the back of Pac's head.
11:50And Pac really impressed quite a few people here with his abilities at All-Star Weekend 4.
11:58And not only in the match against AJ Styles, but also against El Generico.
12:01And they have met on several other occasions here.
12:05Generico and Pac.
12:07And also Pac and Kevin Steen meeting on several occasions.
12:11Kevin Steen?
12:12Yeah, I'm the one for the ladies.
12:14But there is history between all four men in this match.
12:21Not in just a tag team context, but also in a singles context.
12:26As Kevin Steen had barking orders to El Generico,
12:28that could be a little of the miscommunication we alluded to earlier in this match.
12:31You know, their inability to get along in the fact that it's presented itself.
12:36But so far, it hasn't adversely affected their team.
12:40As they are just keep dishing out punishment to Pac.
12:43Right, and you know, this goes back with the Tango and Cash Invitational.
12:50The Tournament to Crown.
12:51That's right.
12:52The first ever PWG World Tag Team choice.
12:53And the theme of that was two men that are put together that have to survive.
12:58And that's what El Generico and Kevin Steen have to do right here.
13:01Oh my god.
13:03Pac out of nowhere catches El Generico with the Hurrican Rana.
13:07And now going for the tag in the corner, but El Generico put the brakes on it.
13:10Pac with the high roundhouse kick just level him.
13:14Coming off the ropes.
13:15Camera door, a tilted world backbreaker as El Generico working on instinct alone.
13:20There he sees Pac covers and hooks the leg, but Roderick strong in there to break it up.
13:24El Generico saying, I will punch you so hard, but not in so many words.
13:31El Generico, ole indeed.
13:33Now directing Kevin Steen what to do.
13:36And we'll see if El Generico...
13:39Do you think the language barrier is?
13:41I would have to say, but you know, to point...
13:45In wrestling, there's a lot of unspoken language.
13:48You talk wrestling, and when you come to the corner,
13:52usually that means for the tag in the corner to give a body part where he can...
13:56Now Kevin Steen getting Roderick, and sensing Roderick strong to the point where he enters
14:01the ring, and it allows Steen a chance to choke Pac on the middle of it.
14:06El Generico telling Kevin Steen to knock it off,
14:08that they can win this match on their technical wrestling ability,
14:12or on their merits alone.
14:13They don't need to cheat like that.
14:14They don't need to bend the rules.
14:15And so that could be a little bit of the miscommunication between Steen and Generico.
14:20That's right.
14:21And now, oh, Kevin Steen, always getting into shots,
14:24and Roderick strong really knackered his teeth over there.
14:28He wanted to get in in the worst way.
14:30And Pac just getting...
14:33Well, Pac's not fighting back at this point.
14:36And what will he do?
14:38Oh, jeez.
14:39Booted Kevin Steen right on the side of the head.
14:41Now Steen is laid out, and Pac...
14:43Oh, with the shooting star knee drop catches Kevin Steen on the back of the head
14:48and takes him down.
14:50Pac has turned this match around,
14:52and both men are down on the campus trying to get up to their feet
14:56and make to the corner to make the tag out.
14:58And Disco Machine, you know, another interesting point about this match,
15:01all four of these men are involved in the 2007 Battle of Los Angeles,
15:05which is a singles wrestling tournament.
15:08And so this is, you know, a tremendous preview for that tournament
15:13and, you know, to see how it will affect these four men.
15:17Kevin Steen and El Generico, of course, they are in the C-block together,
15:21so, I mean, they could definitely...
15:22Oh, oh, wrong tag into the match.
15:25Instead of El Generico, oh, and just knocks him back down with a leg layer,
15:28and then a drop kick,
15:30and Roderick Strong has got a house of fire with a full head of steam.
15:34Oh, the cluster takes him down.
15:36Now Roderick Strong off the ropes.
15:37Long line takes out Generico.
15:39Roderick with the cover, hooks the leg, two.
15:42Two count only as El Generico kicks out.
15:45And Roderick Strong, to say he's a house of fire,
15:48more like a building of fire.
15:49Just coming in, taking out El Generico.
15:52Now El Generico rolling back.
15:54No, he gets caught.
15:56Into a backbreaker.
15:58The doer of the backbreaker, Roderick Strong.
16:00He's breaking backs with the best of them,
16:02but El Generico kicks out at two.
16:05And Roderick Strong has...
16:06Now he has turned this match around in his team's favor
16:09as Pac tags back into the ring after catching his breath on the outside.
16:13Roderick Strong throws hard knife-edge chops.
16:15Pac and Strong working in conjunction with each other.
16:18Pac shooting Strong into the corner.
16:20Strong hits him with the clothesline.
16:21And now Pac up, gets his momentum.
16:25Charging with the...
16:25Oh, and El Steam Generico levels Roderick Strong.
16:28The elbow shot makes his way over to the corner after knocking on the bottle.
16:32And Kevin Steen with that hard knife-edge shot.
16:34And you can see Kevin Steen calling in El Generico.
16:37Generico not even get a chance to catch his breath
16:39as these two are working together.
16:41Oh, they telegraphed that one.
16:43They ducked down a little too early
16:44as Pac playing with those elbow shots to the side of the head of El Generico.
16:48Generico reversed, though.
16:50Pac catches him and goes for the swinging DDT.
16:53Oh!
16:53And El Generico set him down.
16:54And Kevin Steen hits him with a clothesline.
16:56One, two, took out only as Pac kicked out of that deep, deep cover.
17:01Oh, my God.
17:02I thought that was it because even if Pac kicked out,
17:05I'm not sure that he had the strength to get over it.
17:08He did.
17:09Now, the pump handle.
17:11Oh!
17:12And the netbreaker, Kevin Steen hooks the leg.
17:15One, two, took out only as Pac kicks out once again,
17:19keeping his team in a match
17:21and keeping the PWG World Tag Team titles around his waist.
17:24And now they're going for the package pile driver.
17:28The move that has put out more professional wrestlers here in PWG
17:32and won more matches.
17:33But no, Pac floats out, goes over on the top of the shoulders.
17:38Oh, reverse one by Pac.
17:40Perfect strong, Hudson.
17:42Foot to the face.
17:43This should do it.
17:44One, two, go!
17:45Now, El Generico in the nick of time for his team.
17:49Breaks up the bidding predicament.
17:52And now Pac goes to the outside.
17:55Takes it to the air.
17:56And El Generico down and out on the outside.
17:59Roderick Strong, he's got Kevin Steen up.
18:01He's got him down into the buster.
18:04And now Pac, this is what we saw him win the tournament with it last month.
18:09Or excuse me, in May.
18:10And now Pac, oh, my God.
18:12It was a 450 elbow drop.
18:15Oh, no!
18:16Kevin Steen kicks out.

18:21Kevin Steen kicks out and somehow had the wherewithal to stay in this match.
18:29It boggles the mind.

18:34A 450 spot into an elbow drop.
18:37I've never seen anything before like it.
18:40But still, it just goes to show Pac is willing to risk life and limp
18:44to win it like this.
18:45El Generico knocking Pac off the top rope.
18:47And Kevin Steen holding up Roderick Strong in place long enough for El Generico to come
18:52into the ring and counter Roderick Strong.
18:55And these two men just trading elbow shots.
18:56El Generico with the jawbreaker.

19:01El Generico actually sets him up.
19:03The elbow kick with Pac is there to cut things off.

19:47His heart has got to be pounding after he saw his partner just make a miraculous kick out there
19:52to keep his team in the match and keep the titles around their waist.

20:03El Generico fists elbow to elbow with Roderick Strong right in the middle of the ring.
