00:00Patriots-Bills. New England is 2-2. Buffalo suffers its first loss, John.
00:06This is a close game, too.
00:07I was actually, I think I was kind of shocked by this one
00:10with how bad Drake May has looked over the past couple weeks
00:13with all the things surrounding the Patriots.
00:15No A.J. Brown. What's going on with Drake May?
00:18His shoulder, he doesn't look the same.
00:20He actually looked a lot better.
00:23I mean, 22 of 39, he had three passing touchdowns.
00:26Like a big shoulder field, huh?
00:27Yeah, exactly. Looks like it's great now, huh?
00:32Yeah, it feels a lot better.
00:35Yeah, New England scored four touchdowns
00:37after scoring only two across its first three games.
00:42What did you like about this one?
00:44I mean, they had a late drive on the game-winning drive
00:47to kind of seal it, but then you had a Josh Allen meatball sub, John,
00:52to finish the game.
00:53You got to give the Patriots credit for going into their
00:56in a division game against a better division opponent
00:58and coming out and being consistent with their offense
01:00and finding ways to put touchdowns on the board
01:03quarter after quarter after quarter after quarter.
01:06I thought the consistency from the Patriots' offense today
01:09is what they've been lacking in the previous games,
01:11which may, Drake May look so bad.
01:13But my energy for this game is for Josh Allen.
01:18When you don't turn the ball over five times,
01:21he will do something stupid at the end of the game
01:23to give it back to you.
01:26I'm starting to think he's never going to win a Super Bowl.
01:31I'm starting to think that.
01:33And I know people say, man, you sound dumb.
01:35You're talking about the fourth game of the season.
01:37It's not just the fourth game of the season.
01:40I'm talking about in the totality of his career.
01:42That pass he threw at the end, he's always going to throw that pass.
01:46And it really doesn't matter who's on the field at wide receiver.
01:50It doesn't matter who you got at running back.
01:53It doesn't matter who you got at the lineman.
01:56He's going to throw a stupid pass
01:59when you need him to not do that the most.
02:01And I saw him not even shake hands.
02:05He's sprinting into the tunnel
02:06because he was pissed with himself
02:08because he knows he's better than that.
02:11But maybe he's not.
02:13Yeah, like when does it become a pattern with him?
02:16And I know this is their first loss.
02:17And like you said, people are going to be like,
02:19oh, they've only lost once.
02:20They look great.
02:21The other three, you can make the case in week one.
02:23Yeah, he threw that game-winning touchdown.
02:24But we've talked about this.
02:25He threw a ball that could have been picked.
02:28And the Chargers gave you five turnovers.
02:30Yes.
02:31In the game, he had three turnovers.
02:35Right.
02:35So it's not like Josh Allen has been perfect.
02:38It's not like he's been pristine.
02:39Yeah, they've been putting up points.
02:41Yeah, they've been winning games.
02:42But I look at the Bills,
02:44and I always try to do this with teams
02:46that are like on the cusp.
02:48Like, how do they project in the playoffs?
02:50Like, what if this was a playoff game?
02:51Because, listen, very well could be.
02:53Very well could be.
02:54The Patriots and the Bills could both make it.
02:56And it could be an in-division playoff matchup.
02:59And what if this happened in the playoffs?
03:01Right?
03:02I mean, you just got to look at that.
03:04So I look at the Bills, and I project them like,
03:06how would they play against this team?
03:07And how would they play in this environment?
03:09But by the way, it did happen.
03:12Last playoff.
03:13Exactly.
03:15Exactly.
03:15And that's why I'm trying to make this point of, like,
03:18I don't care what they kind of do in the regular season.
03:20Again, we have a lot to talk about.
03:22But Josh Allen, man, another meatball slip
03:24at the end of the game.
03:25Unbelievable.
03:25Absolutely.
