00:00During the Biden administration, activists, poor performers, and malcontents weaponized and ultimately hijacked the work of the Inspector General, the
00:10independent watchdog inside the Pentagon.
00:13They made frivolous complaints that gummed up the works.
00:16Commanders were contending with attorneys and human resource functionaries.
00:20But under President Trump's leadership, a new policy that I call no more walking on eggshells overhauled this process.
00:30Empowering commanders to identify problems early and uphold high standards no matter what.
00:36Commanders are now back in charge.
00:39Imagine that.
00:41No more investigations launched based on speculation, personal gripes, or hearsay.
00:47A complaint must be credible, and the new framework will determine if the information warrants further inquiry.
00:54If so, it now moves quickly.
00:57Consistent with the law, anonymous complaints will only be considered when they allege fraud, waste, and abuse.
01:05Or whether anonymous allegations provide specific, credible evidence of substantial wrongdoing, unlawful conduct, or violations that allege substantial and specific
01:15danger to public health or safety.
01:18Otherwise, no more baseless, anonymous complaints.
01:24Today, I'm directing all military departments to follow the War Department's Inspector General lead by aligning with this very policy.
01:32This is essential to establishing a system that supports those who report legitimate wrongdoing.
01:40The days when radical leftists or people who were just plain bad at their job worked behind the scenes to
01:46undermine the greatest military in history are finished.
01:49Remember, colorblind, gender neutral, merit-based always.
01:54The War Department will remain committed to its warriors and the American people.
