00:00Yeah, for me, I'm quick to laugh at a joke when it's funny.
00:04Even sometimes if it's in poor taste, that's not funny,
00:08to joke about bombing American cities,
00:13regardless of who they are and where they are and what you think of them.
00:17I think it was distasteful, and yeah, I didn't laugh at that.
00:23Thank you, General, and thank you, Bud Pettigrew.
00:28I am deeply honored to accept this endorsement from the NSL 4A.
00:34I have a deep respect for their mission,
00:37the expertise that they bring to the table,
00:40and the professionalism they carry themselves with.
00:43It's unsurpassed.
00:45When elected to the United States Senate,
00:48groups like the NSL 4A will be who I consult with,
00:52and I will lean on them in the matters of international security.
00:56My opponent finds it acceptable to take his advice from defense contractors.
01:01He takes his advice from special interests, like AIPAC,
01:05and his party bosses in D.C.
01:08What do we have to show for it?
01:10A war with Iran that costs us 19 American lives,
01:14including Master Sergeant, First Class,
01:17Noah Titchens of Bellevue,
01:21not too far from here,
01:23and a war that's driving up the cost of diesel fuel
01:26just in time for our farmers to harvest.
01:29A war that no one asked for
01:31because it all succeeded
01:33in making everyday life harder for Nebraskans.
01:38In June of 2025,
01:40the United States conducted a bombing operation
01:43that General had talked about,
01:44Midnight Hammer,
01:46that was supposed to clear Iran's nuclear program back,
01:51be able to stop their ability to enrich uranium.
01:55But here we still are currently engaged in a war.
02:01Congress, from the Founding Fathers,
02:03is a co-equal branch of government.
02:06And there's a War Powers Act here
02:08that needs to be enacted.
02:10It's Congress's job right now
02:12to move this country forward in the matters of Iran.
02:16And we have been told time and time again
02:21that we are winning this war.
02:25Well, the people that I talk to,
02:27their lives are exponentially harder
02:29because of this war.
02:31You know, we mentioned the input prices
02:33for the farmer, the fertilizer,
02:36now the diesel.
02:38It's a cost at the grocery store
02:41for families like mine.
02:42My wife and I used to play a game.
02:45We would talk about,
02:47we would guess to see what the price
02:49was going to be
02:51at the end of our grocery shopping experience.
02:55Well, we don't play that game anymore.
02:57It's not fun
02:58because it is just way too expensive
03:01for me and my family at the grocery store.
03:04But Pete Ricketts,
03:05he doesn't understand service.
03:07For him, the United States military
03:09is a tool for him
03:10to protect his investments around the world.
03:13It's not just his kids
03:16that are going to fight.
03:17It's not going to be his kids.
03:19It's going to be our kids
03:20that go and fight wars.
03:23And he doesn't have to worry
03:25about getting that knock on the door.
03:27He believes our military
03:28is a vehicle for defense contractors
03:30like Lockheed Martin and Raytheon
03:33to improve their profit margins.
03:36The Ricketts family,
03:37they can afford these higher gas prices.
03:40They probably don't even know
03:41what the grocery prices are.
03:43If you remember during the debate,
03:45Pete Ricketts said,
03:46I was driving to my mom's house
03:48and she called and asked me
03:50to stop and buy a pound of ground beef.
03:54Really said nobody ever.
03:56You know, just he's trying to act
03:57like a normal guy
03:58to tell you he knows
03:59how much beef costs are.
04:01Well, my family doesn't even buy it.
04:03It's too expensive right now.
04:05But I'm sick and tired
04:06of our politicians
04:07draping themselves
04:08in the American flag
04:10and then doing the opposite
04:12when it comes time
04:13to help veterans
04:13and our service members.
04:16And it pisses me off
04:17to see our nation's men and women
04:18sign on the dotted line
04:20to make the ultimate sacrifice
04:21if called upon
04:22only for these politicians
04:24in Washington, D.C.
04:25to take that commitment
04:27for granted.
04:28The war in Iran,
04:30it needs to end.
04:31And Pete Ricketts
04:32and every other politician
04:34in Washington
04:34who takes defense contractor money
04:36can no longer be allowed
04:38to use our military,
04:39funded by our tax dollars
04:41and made up of our sons
04:42and daughters
04:43to help grow their bottom line.
04:45We need to take back
04:46the Senate for working people
04:48and stop allowing
04:50the billionaire Epstein class
04:51to use our military
04:53for personal gain.
04:54Thank you so much.
04:55Again, it's an honor to be here
04:57to stand amongst some esteemed people,
05:01esteemed veterans
05:02and the veterans
05:03standing behind me today.
05:06I think moving this country forward,
05:08we've got to do it with veterans.
05:10And we've got to do it with veterans
05:12not just because they're veterans,
05:14because they know what it means.
05:16They know what service means.
05:17And service to the country,
05:19again, to potentially
05:21give the ultimate sacrifice
05:22to the country they love.
05:24That's why I signed on
05:25on the dotted line.
05:27And, you know,
05:28we're going to get this ship
05:29steered in the right direction
05:31with veterans.
