00:23Yeah, I thought Jerry was really good.
00:26But, you know, it was, you know, from start to finish, you know,
00:30I remember the very last stuff that he said about Romo, I thought that was, you know,
00:34genuine and that's, you know, that's just real.
00:36It's a real relationship.
00:37But as far as the football stuff and a lot of looking in the mirror going on, you know,
00:44with, you know, Jerry doing that and Shadi and his coaches and special teams and all that,
00:51yeah, that seems like that's the number one plan, you know, of operation here.
00:56Look in the mirror and kind of clean your own house up a little bit.
00:59And the fact that there's going to be an 18-game schedule, I don't know when,
01:03but it's happening.

01:06Yeah, the biggest thing I took out of that was when asking him about the game management stuff
01:11and asking him about the process of feeder being involved,
01:15it seemed to me like Jerry immediately pivoted to,
01:18Shadi's got to ultimately answer for that.
01:20And Shadi, like, you can have all these influences and all this information coming in,
01:24but at the end of the day, you have to make the decision
01:26and you've got to stand there and look in the mirror when it comes down to it.

01:32And, you know, the Tyler Smith stuff, too, about, you know,
01:37who is it going to come about, you know, if he's going to play,
01:40what's the factor, him.
01:43I thought that was a good answer.
01:45And, you know, just, you know, if he is ready to play on it, you know,
01:49and it sounds like they're going to let him have the, you know,
01:53the opportunity to make that decision.
01:54Yeah, I felt like Steven yesterday or the other day was like, yeah, he's good.
01:59He was talking like he was going to be in the lineup with K&C.
02:02Then I felt like Shadi pumped the break.
02:04And then Jerry is not.
02:06I'm used to Jerry giving the green light.
02:07Was Steven feeling like the green light before the yellow from Shadi and Jerry?
02:12I mean, are you feeling like this is 50-50?

02:18I think I'm glad that they're doing that with the player, though.

02:27Now, I know after practice yesterday, he got some work in with one of the
02:33defensive tackles for, you know, the practice squad and really got to, you know,
02:38and everyone was kind of watching because, you know, it kind of looked like it was a
02:42workout, but it was really just more looking at, you know, what Tyler Smith can do.
02:46So I think it'll be a collective decision, but I think ultimately, you know,
02:50it looks good from the other side, you know, the coaches and trainers are like,
02:55yeah, it looks good, but how does it feel?
02:57And also, you know, probably what does it feel like today, like this morning,
03:02after you're really getting a lot of good, you know, good work on it?

03:14What do you know about Tampa?
03:17Well, the thing that jumps out to me, I mean, obviously the record jumps out at 0-4,
03:23but when you look at it and you're like, all right, this isn't a team,
03:27this isn't the Dolphins, this isn't a team that's just getting worked every game.
03:30I mean, like the combined, you know, margin of victory or loss for them is 20.
03:37So, you know, every game has been a one-score game.
03:40They're playing close to the vest.
03:42Obviously, their defense is kind of keeping it in a little bit.
03:46Now they haven't faced an offense like the Cowboys,
03:48so, you know, that's going to be a big challenge for them too.
03:51But another – I heard you guys this morning talking about it too,
03:55saying, you know, running quarterback and, you know, they're going to have to get –
03:58you know, Daniels is going to have to kind of get that rhythm, get that going.
04:02But, you know, I thought it was interesting what Jerry said is that, you know,
04:07early in the year, this is when you would want to play a young quarterback
04:10just because no one's really figured their team out just yet.
04:15So – and that's only going to get, you know, more so of the case of the normal
04:20for the NFL when you get eventually to an 18-game schedule
04:23and one less preseason game and all that.

04:30I want to get your thoughts on Todd Bowles.
04:33You know, we were here – we were in the locker room, Sean,
04:35when Bowles was here as a coach.
04:38But he was under Bill, so he didn't get to know these guys as well.
04:41Did you think this guy had a, you know, 10-year coach?
04:44What was your take on him when he was here?
04:48A cool MF-er.
04:49I mean, honestly, I don't know if I can even say that.
04:53He was cool as a fan, man.
04:55I like – I mean, I like Todd Bowles, man.
04:59He's the kind of person you just wish you were as far as, like,
05:03just laid back and chill, you know.
05:04Like, I need to be more Todd Bowles in the morning when my kids are –
05:08I'm trying to get them out of the class and all that.
05:10But, no, but he – I think what's cool, I mean, about him is that, like,
05:15he's also a football coach of, you know, defensive backs when he was here.
05:20And he's just a guy that just kind of demands your respect
05:23and just kind of the way he goes about it a little bit.
05:27A little bit of – I don't know if this is the right comparison,
05:30but it feels like a little bit of Tomlin in the fact of, like,
05:34kind of quiet to himself but don't cross him.
05:37Look at his teams.
05:38His teams play hard.
05:39They play well.
05:40This 0-4 is really abnormal for what he's been about.
05:44His defenses are tough.
05:46They hit.
05:47And, you know, quiet is kept.
05:49And you can say whatever the reasons were.
05:51But he was interviewed for the head coaching job here in Dallas.
05:55Back, I think, when they did interview – when they eventually hired Wade Phillips,
06:00he was part of that staff and was actually interviewed for the head coaching job.
06:04So, you know, I think there's a ton of respect here from this side of the building.
06:08And, you know, you go look at that coaching staff that Cowboys had when Parcells was here.
06:13I mean, seven maybe, seven or eight guys have been a head coach at the college or pro level from
06:19that staff.
06:21What were you saying about you and I with Bulls?

09:01I would think Ferguson, you know, he's a guy that's got to kind of set this thing up.
09:05But if they try to take everybody away, then the Cowboys are just going to, you know, run
09:10the ball for 2,000 yards and all that.
09:13So, it's a credit to the team.

09:16It's a credit to Jerry and them and Will McClay for setting up an offense like this
09:21that you just, you can't cover everybody.

09:24I got Dallas winning it, I think 34-23.
09:28I like them in the 30s.
09:30I like, you know, I think they're still going to give up some points.
09:33I think it's going to be one of those games where you get a running quarterback like Jalen
09:37Daniels, that if the Cowboys can get the lead and establish that, then they're going to
09:42have to play at a fast pace.
09:43That's probably not great for the Cowboys.
09:45They might get a pick here.
09:46They haven't gotten one in forever.
