00:08tomorrow is going to bring we make plans set goals pray
00:13and try to prepare but there's always a part of the future we simply cannot see and sometimes that uncertainty
00:24can make us nervous can't it but if jesus christ is part of your life you do not have to
00:33be afraid of what is ahead
00:35you may not know exactly where the road is going but you know who's walking it with you you know
00:43there's a moment in the life of jesus that reminds me of this
00:48jesus told his disciples let's go over to the other side they got in the boat and started across the
00:56water
00:57then a violent storm came the wind became fierce waves crashed into the boat the disciples were terrified
01:06but jesus was still there that is something i want you to remember the storm did not mean jesus had
01:16abandoned
01:17them the difficulty did not mean they were headed in the wrong direction and fear well the fear they felt
01:25did not mean god's plan had disappeared jesus was still in the boat maybe your life feels uncertain right now
01:35maybe there's something you've been praying about and you still do not know how it's going to turn out
01:41maybe you're wondering what happens next with your career your family your finances your dreams
01:51or simply your life in general remember this jesus is still in the boat with you the disciples eventually
02:01cried out to him and jesus stood up and spoke to the storm peace be still and the wind stopped
02:11the water
02:12became calm the thing that had frightened them so badly was never greater than the one who was traveling
02:20with them and neither is whatever you are facing before the storm ever started jesus had already told
02:30them where they were going to the other side he knew the destination even when they could not see it
02:38that is faith faith is not knowing every detail of your future faith is trusting jesus when you cannot see
02:49the next chapter you do not have to know exactly what is coming in order to believe that god can
02:57do
02:57something amazing with your life instead of constantly asking what if something goes wrong try asking another
03:06question what if god is preparing something better than i can see right now what if the door that closed
03:14was protecting you what if the delay is preparing you what if the season you're going through right now
03:23is teaching you something you will need for the blessings that are coming next sometimes well sometimes we look
03:33back on our lives and realize that god was working during moments we did not understand at all you have
03:41probably already survived things you once thought you were never going to get through there were
03:48probably days you worried about problems you thought might overwhelm you situations you could not
03:56imagine being resolved yet here you are god has already carried you through chapters you once feared
04:07why would you believe he suddenly stopped being faithful jesus also taught us not to spend our lives
04:15worrying about tomorrow now that does not mean we stop planning it means we stop allowing tomorrow to
04:24steal today's peace you have grace for today and when tomorrow becomes today god will meet you there too
04:34so do not assume the unknown is filled with bad things the unknown also contains blessings you have
04:43not yet received people you have not met yet opportunities you have not discovered yet prayers that have
04:53not been answered yet moments of happiness when you have that you have not even experienced yet and
05:01purposes god has not revealed to you yet your story is not finished your past does not get the final
05:11word your
05:13mistakes do not get the final word your disappointments do not get the final word god does so keep moving
05:25keep praying keep praying keep believing keep doing the next thing god puts in front of you you do not
05:33need to see the entire road
05:36sometimes faith is simply saying jesus i do not know where this is going but i trust you enough to
05:46keep walking
05:47and i want you to start believing that there are good things ahead not because life will always be easy
05:56not because you'll never face another storm but because jesus will still be there when the storm comes
06:04some blessings may look exactly like what you prayed for others may surprise you completely
06:13some may open doors some may be closed doors some may be closed doors that eventually make sense
06:19some may be opportunities some may simply be a piece inside you that you cannot explain but god
06:30but god is still working so when you think about your future do not automatically think about
06:39everything that could go wrong think about what god could do right think about what he could restore
06:46think about who he could bring into your life think about the doors he could open think about the person
06:54you are still becoming you are not walking into your future alone jesus is still in the boat and the
07:03storm
07:04does not get the final word there is another side there is another chapter and there may be blessings
07:13ahead of you that you cannot even imagine today so keep going keep trusting and look toward your future
07:23with hope with jesus christ beside you there is still so much to look forward to
