00:00I didn't overcome my fear wasn't like this great story of like jump off building and then don't fear jumping
00:05off buildings
00:05No, I'm still scared. You think you might know John Cena, but he plays classical piano and like speaks languages
00:12and stuff. I'm like what?
00:47Hello goddess. Oh my goodness. Can we just take a minute for this sleigh? Thank you. You look sensational. Genuinely
00:53when you walked on the carpet I was like I'm speechless. For someone who talks to everyone that doesn't happen
00:57a lot. You know what I mean?
00:58Thank you. That's a big compliment. I like the hair movement as well. Thank you. I know. It feels good
01:02to just whip it around. Yeah. I bet you there was a lot of hair movement during the stunts as
01:07well right? Yeah. It was a lot of hair and often just right in my face. We spent a lot
01:12of once my car loses its doors and its ceiling then the hair is just whipping all over the place
01:17and we were so lucky that it was so short because if it had been any longer I would have
01:21seen nothing and just crashed my car probably. Yeah it literally would have been a health hazard. It really would
01:25have. Health and safety would have said no. We can't do this.
01:28That's right. John was singing your phrases though with the stunt scenes because obviously your character in this is kind
01:33of new to the spy world but she holds it on. I mean what did you learn from this movie?
01:38What kind of skills do you take from it?
01:40Performance driving. Performance driving. I got to work with the most incredible stunt team and the most incredible female stunt
01:47drivers and they taught me how to spin a car in a 180, put its back right tire on a
01:52mark, skid out, you know, fishtail out and drive like a bat out of hell down a highway with camera
01:58cars everywhere and motorcycles and ginormous semi trucks on all sides and feel confident.
02:05So I think I've come away with a real empowered feeling of driving a muscle car with a lot of
02:12speed and a lot of, you know, maneuverability. I feel like I can do that now.
02:17Absolutely. Well John was just over there playing the piano. Didn't know John Cena could play the piano?
02:21These are the things I'm talking about. These surprising things that you think you might know John Cena but he
02:27plays classical piano and like speaks languages and stuff. I'm like what? He's a very surprising guy.
02:32Secret skills but then in this obviously everybody kind of has to find their skills to save the world. So
02:38what would be some of your skills that we might not know about that you would bring to...
02:42My personal hidden skills? Ooh. Well I'm like a super packer like really...
02:49Are you?
02:50Well like packing for a road trip with snacks and all the things and like a first aid kit. I
02:57will have a backpack full of everything from, you know, band-aids to food to flashlights to, I don't know,
03:06potential Swiss Army knife.
03:07Well you may need a fire extinguisher, like I have that kind of stuff with me and I always have
03:12a plan to get out.
03:15I'm one of those people that goes to bed like, alright, I'll jump out the window, I'll climb up the
03:20roof, I'll run a claw, I'm gonna jump over, I'll go, I'll swim through the pond and then I'll be
03:24out.
03:24Like I do that kind of mental gymnastics at night so I got you.
03:27Yeah, so when we need the world savings, we're gonna call you. Call me.
03:31And you're gonna do it in that outfit. Yeah, of course, and in heels, as we all do.
03:35Because that is you, you are that girl. Thank you so much. Thank you.
03:39It's lovely to meet you, honestly, successfully. You too. Thank you so much. Thank you.
03:58John Cena. Hello. How are you? I'm great. How you doing? I'm good. I love the blue and the orange.
04:03Just trying to match the gal. Listen, you match very well. I loved her bag as well by the way.
04:07Yeah, me too.
04:07That was actually iconic. That is a legit vintage matchbox collector's case. Is it? Yeah.
04:12And then you make it a bag in 2026. Yeah. This is it. Listen, I just saw you over there
04:17playing the piano.
04:18What other secret talents do you have then? What are you hiding from?
04:20You know what? I shouldn't have done that because I like to, I'm big on boundaries. I like to keep
04:25that for me.
04:25But I haven't played, it's been a press tour and I haven't seen a piano in like six days.
04:28I just want to get on there and hit a little bit. I love that. Well, in this, obviously, the
04:32character,
04:33his friends don't know all about his secret talents and spy talents. Yeah, so this kind of leads into what
04:37we were doing, yeah.
04:37So there you go. That could help with saving the world one time. Do you know what I mean? Let's
04:41hope so.
04:41I hear that you're scared of heights though. I am. So how does that work, John?
04:45I'm just scared. I did a lot of jumping off buildings and hanging from helicopters.
04:50And I was running up the chain bridge in Budapest at one point.
04:53And I did not overcome my fears. I was scared doing it.
04:57I just, I trusted our director, Sam Hargrave. He's got a lifetime of time under tension with that stuff.
05:03He's a stunt performer, coordinator, second unit guy, now a director. And he promised me, he promised me I should
05:10trust him and that I'd be safe.
05:11But I didn't overcome my fear. It wasn't like this great story of like, jump off building and then don't
05:16fear jumping off buildings. No, I'm still scared.
05:18So you're just basically feeling the fear and doing it anyway?
05:20Just trying to lean in.
05:22Absolutely.
05:23And do right by a friend.
05:24Your driving skills must be elite, honestly, like from all the movies you've worked on and then on this as
05:29well. How fun were the driving scenes?
05:31The driving stuff's always really fun. Unfortunately, that's like the talent, strengths and gifts of the Matchbox gang.
05:37So they got to drive a ton. And I got to drive just a little bit. I'm grateful for what
05:41I had, certainly.
05:42But man, one of these days, I just want to get, I just want to get the ability to drive.
05:47And the cool thing is, they brought me there with all the Land Rover stuff in the desert.
05:51They wanted me to do maybe 20% of the practical driving. It flipped. I did like 80%.
05:57And the real gamey stuff is when they brought in the second unit guys. But I love to drive.
06:02Is that the joy of acting, just getting to do all this cool stuff, learn all these cool skills that
06:06you'd never probably do in normal life, right?
06:08I think you keep an open mind to life. You can get a lot of new skills and new information.
06:12So yes, and I would extend that to life as well.
06:16And obviously Jessica in this plays your friend that's new to this world, but she holds her own.
06:21I mean, what was it like working hard? She was very good with Sunseam.
06:23She's the best. She is absolutely the best.
06:24And a sponge and such a great, she's the ultimate professional.
06:29Made a friend out of it.
06:31I can't say enough good stuff about Jess. She's one of the best.
06:34Amazing. Well, thank you very much. Sorry for outing your piano skills.
06:37No, that's okay.
06:38The world needs it. We want a John Cena piano album. Come on.
06:40Some things need to be for me.
06:42True, very much.
06:43That's where I find peace and joy.
06:44I love that. Well, nice to see you. You look so great.
06:47Thanks so much.
06:47Appreciate it.
