Opposition MPs boarded buses to head towards Raj Ghat on the third consecutive day of protests in Delhi, demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Ganesh Kumar. Following a strategy lunch meeting, leaders including Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Karti Chidambaram, and Charanjit Singh Channi, along with representatives from the Samajwadi Party and Trinamool Congress, prepared to march towards the memorial. Visuals from Connaught Place showed heavy police deployment and barricading on the outer circle, leading to massive traffic congestion and inconvenience for commuters. Although the Delhi Police did not grant official permission for the demonstration, members of the Youth Congress and National Students' Union of India gathered to raise slogans. The protest follows previous demonstrations outside the Election Commission office and at Jantar Mantar, which saw confrontations between police personnel and opposition leaders.

02:48On Wednesday it was Jantar Mantar.
02:51Today, which is the third day of the protest, on Thursday today, they are moving towards
02:57Raj Ghat.
02:57They will start moving in just a bit from now.
03:00But the opposition MPs have already boarded the buses.
03:04The buses are all set.
03:05These buses had arrived even before the lunch meeting that was supposed to begin at 1.45
03:10PM.
03:11And now the workers are also ready.
03:15In fact, the NSUI and youth congress workers have already started moving.
03:19Earlier they were here, standing here, raising slogans against the chief election commissioner.
03:24And now they have already started moving.
03:26It remains to be seen when do the buses start to move.
03:28The opposition MPs have already boarded these three buses.
03:31These are the same buses that were there yesterday also.
03:35And we saw all the drama that took place, the confrontation between the opposition MPs and the cops.
03:41We saw how there was a confrontation between Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Wadra and the cops.
03:46And how they were eventually detained as well.
03:48That was the second detention in two days.
03:51Now, it remains to be seen what happens today.
03:53There is heavy police deployment as well.
03:55And, Ritankshu, it is also important to note that this is the North Place area.
04:00It is in the heart of the national capital.
04:02And I will request my camera person to also show the kind of inconvenience that is being caused to the
04:07residents.
04:08Because there is a long traffic jam also.
04:11Because there is heavy barricading that has happened here.
04:14There is heavy police deployment also.
04:16It is the road.
04:17This is the outer circle of the Cannot Place which is fully choked.
04:21The vehicles are not even moving.
04:22So, it is also causing a lot of inconvenience.
04:25Every day, there is a new protest.
04:27There is a mega protest that is being staged by the opposition MPs.
04:31And the residents of Delhi are bearing the brunt of it.
04:35This is a Cannot Place.
04:36This is a very busy road.
04:38And because of the security, heavy security that is deployed, heavy police deployment,
04:44this particular road is fully choked.
04:46Cannot Place is fully choked.
04:48And now, we are just waiting for the buses to move.
04:52The opposition MPs have already boarded the bus.
04:54Yesterday, we saw how Rahul Gandhi after the meeting had made this announcement
04:59that how they will be marching, moving towards Jantar Mantra.
05:02Today, we did not see anything of those sort.
05:05But the opposition MPs had, even before the meeting, given an indication that today it could be Rajgat.
05:10Everyone was speculating that what could be the venue today.
05:13And we have been seeing how this game has been going on since three days.
05:21In fact, not just against the election commission,
05:24we have also seen what happened during the protest against Dharmendra Pradhan.
05:29How the opposition, the Congress MPs were celebrating Malik Arjan Khadge's birthday.
05:33And then suddenly, we saw the opposition MPs staging a protest outside the Prime Minister's residence.
05:39Now, that is exactly what happened yesterday also.
05:41So today, of course, it was not that much of a surprise because today everybody had anticipated that,
05:47yes, there is going to be a protest after this lunch meeting.
05:50In fact, today, even before the meeting could take place, the workers, the Congress workers were already staging protests,
05:57had already gathered here.
06:01And they had already gathered here.
06:03The slogan had already begun.
06:05So today, it was not that much of a surprise.
06:08Everybody knew that there is going to be a protest that's going to happen after the lunch meeting.
06:12…
06:17…
06:18…

07:00And we, of course, are listening in to Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi also holding a protest from Rajiv Chok,
07:08going all the way to what their protest waiting for today has been.
