Opposition members of Parliament gathered in Connaught Place, New Delhi, for a coordinated lunch meeting hosted by Mallikarjun Kharge to plan their ongoing protest strategy. Congress workers, along with members of the National Students' Union of India, the Youth Congress, and the Congress Sevadal, held protests and raised slogans demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Heavy security barricades and deployment of Delhi Police and Rapid Action Force personnel were put in place, creating designated corridors around the venue. Samajwadi Party Member of Parliament Rajiv Rai stated that party representatives joined the gathering on directions from leadership to protect democracy, indicating plans to head towards Rajghat. Congress MP Deepender Hooda addressed reporters, alleging that opposition parliamentarians were denied permission to meet election commissioners or demonstrate at Jantar Mantar. While opposition members claimed their requests for meetings were blocked, the Election Commission maintained that no formal appointment had been sought.

00:13And so, the venue that has been decided is Moits.
00:17And what we're learning is that many MPs including Manikam Tagore, KC Venu Gopal, Pramod Tiwari,
00:22they have already arrived.
00:23Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Wadra are yet to arrive.
00:26Malik Arjun Kargay, who is the host of this lunch, is also yet to arrive.

00:32The protests have already started.
00:35The NSUI workers, the Youth Congress workers have all gathered here.
00:39The Congress Seva Dal workers have all gathered here.
00:41The sloganeering is underway.

00:48Vod Chor Gaddi Chor is already underway.

01:23I am going to go to the Jantan Mantar.
01:28We can't explain the status of you.
01:31They invited me.
01:34But we are listening to the JNP.
01:38We are helping us.
01:41But what we will do or not, we will be very difficult.
01:44Rahul, the L.O.P.A. was against the protest.
01:46What was the protest?
01:50I have seen the atrocities in the whole of Hindustan.
01:56Everyone has to do the movement.
01:59But what has happened to Bianca,
02:02the lady has to do everything.
02:06Everyone is in the house.
02:08Everyone is in the house.
02:10We need to support her.
02:17Do you think it is proper?
02:20Do you think it is proper?
02:20It has happened in Dengal.
02:21It has never happened.
02:23It belongs to a separate party.
02:24Maybe.
02:25But he is a senior advocate.
02:27He was an ex-mirror of the Calcutta Corporation.
02:31He was attacked in the Bariupur,
02:32a lawyer.
02:43Everyone is in the building.
02:45How did this happen?
02:48No, one is a big bridge.
02:52You have to go to Delhi and go to Bangalore.
02:55This is a lot of people.
02:57You bring your hand.
02:59In India and all.
03:01So another day, another day of protest by the opposition. The opposition has made it clear it refuses to let
03:08this issue die down. This protest against the chief election commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, they are demanding his ouster, they are
03:15demanding his resignation. It's the third day of the protest.
03:18Now, currently, the protests are being staged by the Congress workers. The MPs are going to have lunch. The MPs
03:24are yet to arrive. Some of them have arrived. But Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Wadra, Malik Arjun, Karge are yet
03:30to arrive. But there are some similarities that can be seen even today. The same three buses that had assembled
03:37yesterday before the lunch, we can see those buses over here in which the MPs had boarded and they were
03:43moving towards Jantar Mantar.
03:44So the same three buses are present even today. And that makes it clear that the opposition MPs will once
03:50again be boarding these buses even today. But where will they be heading to? That remains a surprise.
03:56That is something that the MPs will be discussing over lunch. The lunch is yet to begin. But what has
04:01already begun are the protests. The protests are already being staged by the Congress workers.
04:05Well, yesterday, there was another thing, which was a point of discussion, which was about the opposition unity. But today,
04:12what we are learning is that the Samajwadi Party MPs will also be attending this lunch meeting.
04:18From the TMC, Abhishek Banerjee will be attending this lunch meeting. My colleague Aishwarya Paliwal is also with us with
04:25more details on this. Aishwarya, you were here yesterday as well.
04:29You covered the protests, all the action yesterday as well. What do you think are the similarities and what seems
04:35to be different today that was missing yesterday?
04:43Well, you know, one thing that we can clearly see is that there is persistence when we talk about the
04:47Congress Party and the top leadership of the Congress Party.
04:50They believe that they will not stop till the time the CEC, that is Gyanesh Kumar, has in fact resigned.
04:55They are saying since 2024, the Congress Party believes that they had given the moniker, vote shorty, and that what
05:03the Congress and the other opposition parties were hinting at has now come out in the open.
05:07However, the Commission has maintained since day one that all the decisions were taken unanimously and over the past many
05:14years, there has not been any dissent when we speak about the SIR.
05:18But what we are seeing, the supporters of the Congress Party, all of them out here on the streets in
05:24Cannot Place, which is considered to be the heart of the national capital.
05:28The NSUI flags in large numbers, we can see. In fact, let me also tell you what the police has
05:33done.
05:33The police, in fact, has made a corridor of sorts. Now, this is the same corridor from where we will
05:39see the VVIPs, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Wadra, walk-in.
05:43So, you have the RAF personnel, the Delhi police personnel, all of them standing on both sides of the road
05:50at a corridor has been made.
05:52This corridor, in fact, has been made so that the MPs can walk till Moi. Moi is the place where
05:58the lunch will happen.
05:59But where will they go next, Anjali? That's the big question.
06:03No one knows whether they will head towards Jantar Mantar, whether they will head towards Akashwani Bhawan,
06:07or they will once again attempt to reach the Election Commission of India.
06:12So, that's something that we will have to keep a very close eye on.
06:15But that will happen only after the lunch diplomacy is over.
06:19The MPs, however, are maintaining that they do not discuss, decide where they need to go before the lunch.
06:25They do so once the lunch is over.
06:28Pramod Tiwari, we can very clearly see.
06:30KC Venugofal, in fact, if I'm not wrong, reached almost 45 minutes ago,
06:35made sure that everything was in place and now everyone is waiting for Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi
06:41and the top leadership of the Congress Party, including Malika, Arjun, Kargay to arrive.
06:47Once they arrive, we will see them walking through this very same corridor.
06:52They will walk and then go towards Moi.
06:59All right, Ishwarya, do stay with us.
07:01So, the heavy sloganeering is currently underway.
07:04Slogans are being raised against not just the Chief Election Commissioner,
07:08but also against the Centre, also against the Prime Minister.
07:11So, sloganeering is already happening.
07:14Everyone is waiting for Rahul Gandhi to arrive.
07:16Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Wadra are yet to arrive at this location.
07:19The lunch is yet to begin.
07:21But the buses are all set.
07:23The buses have already arrived.
07:25The cops are all ready.
07:27There's heavy police deployment that we're witnessing.
07:29And the numbers are only increasing with time.
07:32And there's heavy barricading also that has been done over here.
07:37And in fact, my colleague Moshmi Singh is joining us.
07:55Thank you very much.

09:46What is black dress?
09:47The message that you have reached, reached.
09:49Thank you sir.
10:12All right, so as per the latest details, we're learning that Dipinder Hudda has also reached
10:18Moids and in fact, we were just speaking to Rajiv Rai, who's the Samajwadi Party MP.
10:23Remember yesterday, there were a lot of questions being asked on Samajwadi Party's absence and
10:29questions were being raised on the opposition, unity and whether there is some rift that
10:33is widening between the Congress and the Samajwadi Party.
10:35But today, there are two MPs who will be attending this lunch.
10:45Here I am, I'm very protesters.
10:48You can think that we need to intervene if the secretary was being left alone but when
10:50she is distinguished from the 외cab of the Secretary, there is no working.
11:04All right, so we want to inform that she doesn't have the same conditions.
11:06We want to know that the government is not saying the government is safe.
11:09The government is not doing it.
11:09This government industry, the government, is being cancelled.

13:01So that was Dipinder Hooda briefing the media on what is going to be the strategy.
13:06Dipinder Hooda, the Congress MP, clearly stating that how the opposition MPs want to meet the
13:11Chief Election Commissioner, they are seeking an appointment.
13:13But what is also important to note that the Election Commissioner has made it clear that
13:17no appointment has been sought by any of the opposition MPs for a meeting.
13:22So that also remains another crucial point that on one hand, the MPs have been claiming
13:27that they are not being allowed to meet the Chief Election Commissioner, they are not being
13:32allowed to have a meeting with the Election Commission, but on the other hand, no appointment
13:35has been sought with this.
13:37This is a perpetual agitation, till Ganesh Kumar put in his papers, he will continue to agitate
13:44and protest.
13:46And this would be a warning to Modi Shah Kambayi, if they try to protect Ganesh Kumar, they will
13:54also sink with Ganesh Kumar.
13:58Number two, number three, number two, number three.
