High drama unfolded in Delhi as leaders and cadres of the INDIA opposition bloc, along with left-wing student groups and affiliated wings, staged a massive protest march towards the Supreme Court. The procession, starting from Barakhamba Road and moving through Connaught Place, witnessed protesters breaching barricades amid heavy security deployment across the national capital. The Chief Justice of India declined to meddle in affairs related to government functioning, prompting opposition leaders to decide on filing a formal plea in the apex court instead. Protesters carried banners against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Demonstrators included members from the Congress, Samajwadi Party, NSUI, and Congress-ruled states, alongside unaffiliated citizens. Congress leader Deepender Hooda was also seen joining the demonstration as opposition buses navigated through Connaught Place amid tight police arrangements.

00:00It's all about protest versus protest in Delhi and other cities as well like Bengaluru.
00:05Let's begin first with what's the top news that's coming in, especially from these protests.
00:10The opposition netas on one side are marching toward the Supreme Court.
00:13This is Delhi.
00:15The India Bloc leaders, the left-wing students and other groups are already in the bus.
00:22And the buses with the opposition netas have crossed the Barakamba road.
00:26That was the starting point.
00:27These images on your screen.
00:29But here's where the Chief Justice of India has drawn a red line.
00:33The India opposition Bloc leaders wanted to meet the CGI, submit a memorandum, a petition also basically.
00:39But the CGI is saying, I cannot meddle in these affairs which deals with government functioning.
00:46Protesters were seen breaching the barricade en route to the Supreme Court.
00:50Heavy security has been deployed in Delhi.
00:52Eventually, the opposition leaders have decided to file a plea in the Apex Court.
00:57These are the latest visuals on your screen, ladies and gentlemen.
01:01Congress-governed states have hired representation as well in Delhi.
01:05Chief Ministers and their supporters from Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh are also seen in Delhi.
01:12Look at these images.
01:13The NSOI flags, the Congress Party's flags, protests and banners against CEC.
01:18Gyanesh Kumar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and all sorts of remarks and comments that have come
01:25in saying that the CEC is being made to do illegal crimes is what Rahul Gandhi had said in the
01:35press conference that was organized.
01:38So, let's go on the ground directly.
01:41Preeti Chaudhary is bringing to us the ground coverage and what is happening unfolding around her.
01:46Preeti, over to you.
01:53Pooja, I want to just give you a sense of where we are.
01:56This is Karnat place and this is where the protest and one can now call it a procession is coming
02:01in.
02:01That's the media van.
02:03So, the media van which was covering the entire protest, the media of the India Alliance.
02:07Because earlier on, they were supposed to get down here.
02:11But that van is now taking seemingly a U-turn.
02:15So, we are trying to figure out where the bus of the Congress leaders is headed to.
02:21Will they stop here and will they attempt to march from here on?
02:24That remains to be seen.
02:26But a lot of leaders have gotten down and have started speaking to the media.
02:32But what we can see, this is a show of strength, Pooja.
02:35A show of strength might not trust the Congress but the India Alliance.
02:39The kind of numbers that we are seeing on ground, be it the left parties, be it the Congress,
02:44be it affiliated groups like Seva Dal, NSUI, the Congresswomen Wing, the Samajwadi Party,
02:50even though Akhilesh Yadav is not here in person,
02:53but the kind of Samajwadi Party representation that you see is right there,
02:58where groups dotted with the, you know, red caps.
03:02So, where are they headed now?
03:05That remains to be seen.
03:06Alongside is also a steady stream on the side of protesters that have clearly stayed back
03:13after the Kaukroj Janta Party protest and seemingly joining in in this protest.
03:19What is the further course of action?
03:22That is something that, you know, where the Congress and the India Alliance is concerned.
03:27Will, from here on, a small delegation get down and make its way to the court
03:40because to lodge a petition, well, we are going to keep a keen eye on that.
03:45But let's try and get in, you know, some reactions.
03:48This is what the North Place looks like.
03:50Sachin is going to try and give you a ringside view of how people have gathered here.
03:56This was the nerve center, the epicenter of protest the last two days,
04:00also the epicenter of a crackdown of sorts that had taken place.
04:06So, it seems now that the bus is going to stop and the leaders will get down from that bus.
04:14Let's try and get in more reactions coming in.
04:16A lot of people who don't really want to be, would you speak to the press?
04:20Why, who, can I, okay, you don't want, I clearly don't want to give your identity,
04:23but why are you here?
04:24To take stand for my country.
04:27I love my country too much to let it just go like this in a dictatorship.
04:32So, that is why I'm here.
04:33Are you affiliated to any political party?
04:35No, no, no, no, not at all.
04:37I'm a pet sitter.
04:38Sir, I just came because I wanted to and I'm alone, so.
04:42You've come here because?
04:43Eek second, sir.
04:44Khat jayayi, na?
04:45You've come here because you're alone and you've come of your own volition.
04:48Yeah, I'm not affiliated to anyone.
04:51Ye toh mask, I just found it somewhere, so I put it on.
04:54So, this is now nothing.
04:55A little prophetic.
04:58Yeah, I mean.
04:59You're a student?
05:01Um, I've just finished my graduation, but I'm a pet sitter.
05:04Sorry?
05:05I'm a pet sitter, so I...
05:06You're a pet sitter.
05:07Yeah.
05:07And you're just here on your own.
05:09Yeah, yeah.
05:09Just for the love of what you say is your country.
05:11Yes, yes, absolutely.
05:13Just be careful.
05:14So, you know, like I point...
05:16All right, like I pointed out, once again, I believe Dipinder Huda has come into the crowds.
05:23Oops, it seems my camera person, Sachin, will try and show you.
05:27Oh, yes, yeah.
05:28Dipinder Huda has come into the crowds.
05:30He's also wearing a Batman mask, being taken on the shoulders of the cadre of the Congress
05:39and NSUI, while the bus has turned.
05:42So, that's Dipinder Huda and other leaders of the Congress Party.
05:47And what you can see, the bus also taking the U-turn of all the leaders of the India Alliance
05:54there, inside the bus.
05:58I'm going to try and get myself to a safe spot.
