An opposition speaker addressed the media following protests at Jantar Mantar and a demonstration at Raj Ghat, alleging large-scale electoral manipulation and the suppression of democratic rights. The speaker stated that 300 opposition lawmakers were blocked from meeting the Chief Election Commissioner and condemned the police crackdown on peaceful protesters. Emphasizing Mahatma Gandhi's principles of Satyagraha, the speaker urged citizens to overcome the fear of imprisonment and death to protect their voting rights against institutional intimidation, citing recent public mobilizations as evidence of widespread resistance.

00:00The message is very clear. The vote chodi has come into the forefront and the allegation that the political parties
00:07have been raising from the last one year are the very allegation the chief election commissioners, the election commissioners are
00:13raising against the CEC.
00:14So we at the opposition, 300 opposition MPs have been trying to meet the chief election commissioner from the day
00:20before yesterday. They are stopping us. Yesterday also, the designated protest site, which is the Jantar Mantar, the opposition MPs
00:27assembled there to sit on a peaceful protest. They were dragged from there. Women were pulled by their hair. We
00:33have seen those visuals.
00:34Today we have come to pay our respects and our deepest regards and respects to the father of the nation.
00:43Since we are working in the principles and the ideology shown by the great Mahatma Gandhi, Mahatma Gandhi has always
00:48spoken about Satyagraha.
00:50Satyagraha teaches us two things. If you are to follow that path, you have to shed two fears in life.
00:56One is the fear of going to prison. Two is the fear of dying.
00:58So if we are to take that path of satyagraha, every person needs to understand that these two fears need
01:05to be shed.
01:06BJP can only bully you by showing their might with regard to the agencies and all the institutions they have
01:12successfully homogenized.
01:14But what I want to tell you is that the number of people that have come onto the streets today
01:20and the kind of people that have been pouring onto the streets from the last two months, three months,
01:24especially from the time Bengal's results have come to the forefront, is not only surprising, it shows us what the
01:30reality of the country is.
01:32My last resort, my vote is also being stolen by the government of the day.
01:35If I don't come and hit the streets and fight for my own right, nothing will be left for tomorrow.
01:45Okay, so we'll continue getting you those reactions, but also putting the focus on those images that have come in
01:51now of Rahul Gandhi inside Raj Ghat.
01:54Let's get you more reactions before I focus on those images.
02:24Telling on our Chief Minister Revant Reddy also speaking.
02:26Remember, there's an SIR controversy playing out in his state.
02:29He's currently in Delhi and a part of that protester at Raj Ghat that has now concluded.
