00:00But why do Colorado and Wyoming have such a different population when the two states look like the same?
00:05The Colorado and Wyoming can seem similar states because they have a similar size, a similar climate,
00:11and they both are the best of some of the most important islands in the West.
00:16But there is a flagrant difference between the two states, their population.
00:21The Colorado population is of about 5,8 million,
00:24while the Wyoming population is of only 570.000,
00:28what makes the most small population of the United States.
00:31To put this point in perspective,
00:33there are 29 cities in the United States who have a bigger population than the Wyoming.
00:38But what caused this huge difference between the population?
00:41All started in the 19th century with the discovery of gold in what is today the Colorado,
00:47which has led a massive wave of population in the region.
00:50However, this never really happened to Wyoming.
00:54The Great Plains represent about a third of the eastern part of Wyoming,
01:00but a large part of the east of Colorado,
01:02which made the Colorado much more attractive for the people.
