00:27He adds the man is currently detained to assist in investigations under the Road Transport Act
00:331987 and is expected to be remanded at the Shah Alam court on Saturday.
00:39Saruddin said preliminary investigations found that the lorry driver claimed to have experienced
00:45brake problems before losing control while travelling downhill from Punchak Perdana towards Punchak
00:52Alam at about 4.20pm.
00:54He said the lorry then veered into the opposite lane before crashing into 11 other vehicles
01:00stopped at the traffic lights at the Alambudiman three-way junction.
01:04In the incident, a 58-year-old SUV driver suffered serious head injuries and is being treated in
01:12the red zone of UITM Hospital Punchak Alam.
01:15His 53-year-old wife and 17-year-old grandson, who were in the vehicle with him, are in stable
01:21condition at the same hospital.
01:23A 29-year-old hatchback driver was also injured and is stable.
